Yeah, most definitely! Got a 6:30 ticket because 9:30 was sold out, even though I was supposed to meet some people at later show. Hopefully it all works out. It's always awesome and a great time. Here's a good article: link BTW, I met one of the editors a few years ago and stayed in touch. Emailed him, maybe I will get a response and/or he may be in town for the show.

But do not limit your concert to just the self-absorbed of Area III.

Do you think the Navy could supply some boats to serve as water taxis across Waukegan Harbor? That way the racers wouldn't have to walk over a mile to the concert, which would be held in the bandshell east of the harbor. Open the concert to the public for free (costs borne by the racers). Let all the Great Lakes sailors on leave attend too. A nice evening concert after the "sweepers" have arrived and eaten dinner.

Seems only right.

We need to find out why they gave up buoy racing. Perhaps Brenda Sollitt would also have an interesting opinion on this specific matter?

Kutty's Ark gave up buoy racing, in part, because Mr. McGinnis and Co. were unable to get her uphill with the newer (in their section) boats. Perhaps they would reconsider if modified Olympic courses reappeared in Area III.

Ms Sollit made an effort to get Rebel around the race course after Sumner died, but lost heart after a couple of seasons.

"Unable to get her uphill" sounds like what's needed is a W/L LMPHRF rating.

As to Brenda, she also got saddled with being a RCC. Now that she is a RCC (E) maybe someone could help her out.

I got a call from Lynn. She was planning a C-section yesterday. I couldn't be there for the delivery, but judging by the smile of anticipation I heard in her voice, she must be a real knockout (every girl looks prettier with a smile on her face). I had some more ideas. Do you have anyone who could open the show with the fourth stanza of the National Anthem? I love the part "...in triumph...". Then do a UAV flyby? That would be Wicked Cool!

There is a place for old horses like Kutty's Ark ... where only 1/3 of the buoy races are w/l, the others old fashioned Olympics or trapezoids. Brenda would even find decent boats to race against.

Saw Ex-Top Dog @ Laser Masters Ca-Ball I. He agrees with you. Old days with mixed courses were better. Lower prices, less strain on RCs too.

Secondy, I'm not the only one that feels that a certain someone on this, and other threads, needs to tone it down a touch. I'm sure Mr. Codger has a good sence of humor, and is a hell of a nice guy, but come on! It's time to head to Arizona old Vato... No, stay here in Chicago. Actually, I have more of an issue with the grandson that got him his computor and the internet access (lol).
