US Sailboat Show - Pics, Words, Vids

We're jumping in the shower and going to run over to the show, and when we get there, we'll start talking to people and get some close-up pics and video of things that are interesting to us.
Every hour or so, Mer will get some pics up, and I'll try to upload the video. No editing, no cutting, so suffer through it, or don't bother looking. I already know I am a douche, so I don't have to worry that I'll be making an ass of myself.
Already on our list of stuff to show you closeup are the Farr 11S, Esse 850, Crosscurrent, Gunboat 62 (pimpdaddymotha), Viper, SB3, Rocket 22, and plenty of other crap that I'm too hung over to remember. Sam Rodgers, married last week, was at the Melges booth, and he wouldn't tell me shit. Andy Burdick, VP, should be there today, and we'll see if we can get him to show us the drawings, at least.
Post here and let us know what else you want to see, or know about, or people you'd like us to interview, and what you want to know from them. Everything will be in here - not the front page.

A PM gently reminded me that this is more than just me and mer's report - there have got to be a thousand anarchists here today, so if you've got pics, video, comments, make sure and post them here. Who needs boat show reports? If everyone contributes, this will have more information on the show than would ever be available somewhere else.
See ya soon.

Where else is everybody? We'll be checking in - but don't be shy about grabbing us and introducing yourselves. I'm sportin' the big red A today.

Boats....
the new Farr was definately a speed machine
finally got to see a SB3.....very cool concept and should be a blast by the videos from England
Rocket 22...there is nothing wrong with simplicity and speed plus a built in cooler
Crosscurrents 33......I dated a girl that looked like that once, it got to be annoying...real pretty but very fussy...maybe it's just the metalic paint...
Swan 42.....the right combination of comfort and speed......she looks fast and stiff
modern daysailers with classic lines......it's good to have choices in manufacturer and it's nice to be fast and pretty
I'm not a multihull guy but the Gunboat gets my vote for good design and straighforward use of form and space....some of those other multihulls look like tupperware containers that have been in the sun too long...
So anyway, I'm back in Michigan....I read brochures on the plane all the way home.....

I'm just putting some video up now. Our slacker ways mean that we'll have to get you a lot more good stuff tomorrow, including a ride on the SB3 and Esse 8.50, a video tour of the Gunboat, and whatever else tickles our fancy.
