  1. Don't worry. Trump has it under control. ISP's and internet providers will self regulate. They will absolutely NOT slow down their competitors' data, and make companies pay special rates to get their data through. Ajit Pai said so as he happily repealed net neutrality regulations. He works for the FCC. Or Verizon. Take your pick. Oh wait. What's that? They've already started slowing down competitor data? https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-09-04/youtube-and-netflix-throttled-by-carriers-research-finds

    Second boat advice?

7.9 is a great boat, but well-kept ones will be out of your price range. 9.1's are right up your ally though. For instance. https://www.sailboatlistings.com/view/60009 Any boat that old will need a little work to get rid of wet spots.

    it's starting..........

Exactly. Anywhere in the US this is virtually impossible. Guarding is set up around the outside extends of the robot so that it can never touch the guarding nor be within reach of humans. Because robots do stupid things all the time. As someone else said - China.

    About that Inauguration....

And despite all his desperate posting, he still doesn't get that whining about past presidents and their offenses has absolutely NO bearing on what Trump did and whether it's legal. He still has this boiled down to "It's just D versus R". When the reality is so much different. Hey Jack, do you understand that all crimes are by definition illegal - regardless if someone committed that crime before? It's about time to post more infographics taken from Repug talking points Jack.

    let's shut the government

I'm probably remembering this incorrectly, but every time the government has shutdown in the past it's because it hasn't been funded. In other words, the bills that needed to be passed to get the money to pay the government workers weren't passed. So, first, does Trump have the ability to simple "tell" members of government to stop cutting paychecks? Secondly, how does stopping the wages of every government employee somehow get the democrats to vote for a wall? Third, what type of mental state must it take to be ready to fuck over that many people if you don't get your way?
  10. It's not insider trading when he's acting on publicly available information. And selling them? If you found out about it wouldn't you also immediately sell them just so you could say that you corrected the issue as soon as it came to your attention? I'm neither left nor right, but this is a tempest in a teapot.

The mag stripe on your ID contains: State or Province City Last Name First Name Middle Name Home Address Expiration Date Birth date Driver's License Number Sex Height Weight Hair Color Eye Color In order to make themselves less liable for selling to underage kids, the system is automated. Swipe, and it does the checking. While a lot of people can easily fake a driver license, it's slightly harder to fake the mag stripe. Only slightly because you can buy the hardware to encoder it online. But it's a little more rare than the printing products you need to make a reasonable fake of an ID. The system at many of the drug stores are set up to automatically ask for the ID to be swiped when age limited products are purchased. They likely don't care about your information - if you're using a credit card to pay they already know everything they want to know about you. Hell, if you have a smart phone they already know everything there is to know about. Including how often you visit the doctor.

    Stoopid garbage disposal install mistake

Bah. Someone else covered it. It's a siphon break, just like you should all have on your motors. And when the siphon break fails, your motor just may follow it.

China moves on US car tariff cut

Do you understand how pointless this is? This is China working in a Chinese way to help Trump save face so he lightens up on the shit that matters - raw materials etc. American automakers MOVE production to China because the production cost is so low. Vehicles built in the US and shipped over there already have no way to compete against their substantially cheaper Chinese built counterparts. None. And they are quickly copied anyway, so even if it is a unique vehicle offering there will be a chinese counterpart on the road at a 70% discount inside a year. Tariffs on things like computer chips that are mostly designed by American companies and built by American companies in China then imported hurt US more than them. The only American industries that are cheering over the tariffs are the ones who manufacture raw stock here, like steel and aluminum companies. Those prices have jumped through the roof.

    Social Security "increase"

You know, from time to time I think Saorsa and Dog must be smarter than us all - because they've gotta be getting paid for the stuff they post. NO one can be that dense and that wrong all the time unless they're being paid to act like it.

    Social Security "increase"

No amount of people on the phones will ever fix that issue. From getting the phone number digits mixed up to not being able to remember the soc number, a call that I could finish in under a minute will take many elderly 30 minutes to get through. And at the end the question that might be asked is likely to not even be related, like the medicare 'add-on' coverage from a private company. It's a different world when a huge percentage of the population is over the age at which they can be reasonably expected to remember their birthday.

    Brexit, WTF

Gotcha. So the EU has Elected Parliment - Passes laws, decides on international agreements, elects commission president and approves the Commission appointees. European Union Council of Ministers (Head of the European Union Countries) - Appoints the Commission and tells them what to do. European Union Commission - Bureaucrats appointed by the Council - Proposes Laws Heads of most countries are elected. Parliment is elected. So 2 of the three are directly elected, and the third is appointed and approved by elected officials. I don't know. I still don't buy into the whole idea that people aren't represented. It actually seems similar to our house and senate system.

    Brexit, WTF

I'm confused. I went to read about the EU after you posted this, because I thought to myself "How can an enlightened society install a government that isn't elected?" It turns out the MEP's are all elected, and the final representation in parliment is based along the percentages of the popular vote, which is frankly a whole lot better than our "winner take all" system in the states. So how do you reconcile your idea that Brits aren't represented when they get to vote just like all the other countries in the EU do?

    Congressional Misconduct Database

And another one. Again - in any other place this would result in firing. He went to court for bribery for christ's sake. But because he's in the federal government, he's just told to give the money back. Menendez was investigated for unspecified misconduct in 2012. The Senate investigation was halted during his investigation and trial for corruption and bribery which resulted in a mistrial. In April 2018, the Senate Select Committee on Ethics admonished Senator Menendez for violating Senate rules and ordered him to repay any remaining outstanding value of impermissable gifts. Nov. 16, 2017 Senate Select Committee on Ethics reopened its investigation after Menendez's corruption and bribery case ended in a mistrial Apr. 26, 2018 Senate Select Committee on Ethics admonished Senator Menendez for violating Senate rules and ordered him to repay any remaining outstanding value of impermissable gifts
