yellow coating on gelcoat - how to clean?

Actually, it won't remove it completely. It will grind small particles of wax into the gel coat and leave it there. It way get the yellow gone, but don't fool yourself. If you were painting afterwards you'd be very sorry that you didn't degrease. As a solvent, acetone sucks. It evaporates too quickly and leaves deposites behind. Mineral spirits works much better, and is cheap from big box stores rather than marine stores. Cool that you got the acid to work. Go scare your competitors off the course,.

    It's a wall-jack-ulator. Snicker.
  3. The United States doesn't want F-35's to routinely fly in airspace that is scanned by Russian Air Defense. Doing so would give the Russians crucial insight in to how well their systems perform. It would allow them to work toward directly countering the US's newest fighter technology. It would provide critical data to the Russians that would allow them to tailor their upgrades and modifications to target the F-35. To conclude - you are a fucking idiot. It isn't that the S-400 can see the F-35 NOW but Russia obviously has a vested interest in changing that.

    Bloody hilarious

Not really. I can't speak for Australians, but the internet says they eat Kangaroo in Australia. And while they are listed as Vulnerable, they are not endangered like the Eagles were. It's more like Americans eating Bear or some other animal that isn't numerous. People in urban areas need not apply, since most of them still can't get over the idea of eating venison.

Mary Jane potential to kill 4000 people per year

Word smith your way out of this, malarkey. The number of highway deaths involving Colorado drivers who had marijuana in their system grew again in 2017, a new state study shows. At the same time, traffic fatalities in which drivers had enough marijuana in their bloodstream to be deemed legally impaired dropped sharply, from 52 in 2016 to 35 last year. The reason for this seeming contradiction: Marijuana can remain in the bloodstream for weeks, so a positive blood test may not mean a driver was stoned at the time of a deadly crash. As the Colorado Department of Transportation study notes, “The presence of a cannabinoid does not necessarily indicate recent use of marijuana or impairment.” In addition, traffic fatalities were already rising prior to cannabis legalization.

Mary Jane potential to kill 4000 people per year

This just in - nearly 1000 deaths while riding bicycles last year. Bicycles facing legislation, mandatory helmet requirements, and minimum age allowances. Will now require ID to purchase. Or not.

    The end of women's sport.

And 'lo one stepped forward to do battle with the Demons. But the Demons did not lay done. No. Their black nature caused them to retort "While we may be rife with falsehood, pray will thou still converse with us on this topic?" And the masses cried "NO". And it was good. (god damn I'm bored at work)

So we're all curious. Were the "attacks" from women from your ex whom you outed for taking it up the ass on her first day with her new boyfriend? The one that got you kicked from facebook? I wonder if they are "disgruntled" for good reason.

Incredible Workshop Access - What to Make?

Thanks! Yeah, the one with an internal spring. It's even easy to turn the end pulley on a lathe and insert a bronze bushing. HDPE inserts for the slides. Aluminum if you want less weight, stainless if you want gleaming and pretty. You can probably go to a local chandalry to get dimensions too. Though I have to admit it wasn't my idea. I spent a couple weeks doing this with my father in a friends workshop 30 years ago.

Right, so we're just going to ignore the whole DEMON thing, right Dog? And behold! The demons came down from the mountain and snipped the winkies of the sinful men, so that they might be woman and destory all womans sport. Amen said the sinners as they bowed to their satanic alters dedicated to Trump. Your ability to post things that are total lies then just move on like nothing happened is amazing. It's a trait you seem to share with President Gropenfuhrer.

I guess we're going to have to agree to disagree. It bothers me because I feel like you're telling woman not to rock the boat for change. Social change doesn't usually make people happy.

Are you having trouble admitting it? Your source just blamed sexual confusion on demons. DEMONS. Is this sinking in? Is "whatever" your defense mechanism when you realize what you just quoted is blaming today's issues on imaginary beings? DEMONS. Come on dog. You can get there. You can admit how badly you just fucked up. DEMONS.

Who owns your boat isn't the point. Your ability to participate in races is. Perhaps you don't have a regional group like we do. Most races in our area fall under the DRYA and you need to be a member of a DRYA affiliate to race. Disallowing you from races in your region would be a quick motivation to change your behavior, don't you think? Also, what does being a volunteer have to do with the discussion? Are you telling me that if a member came forward to one of your volunteers about a serious situation you would ignore it? I doubt you would ignore it. So what would be wrong with codifying the person that complaints should be made to? What's your solution?
  17. Grrr...

    i touch myself

Right. So what's your solution? More of the status quo? I'm fine with people disagreeing with the method. But disagreeing and not presenting another solution means you really don't care if anything changes. As the saying goes, if you're not part of the solution then you're part of the problem.

    i touch myself

Actually, I'm an engineer. I look for rational evidence backed solutions. And while I share your dislike for HR departments, a top down approach is where this has to start. If your suggestion worked, we wouldn't be talking about this right now. Because people already have the ability to speak out. If your suggestion worked we wouldn't have bullies and assholes at every level of the sport. Frankly, you and the people who liked your comment should be ashamed, because you essentially suggested we shouldn't address the problem at all.

    So who's running things anyway?

I have yet to see a single original idea out of ak_shrinkage. As far as I can tell he simply scours the web for conspiracy theories and "deep state" buzzwords then comes here to unload them. It's kind of like the garbage truck going door to door to pick up garbage. I just wish SA wasn't his final stop.

    i touch myself

A lot of the people here are having two different discussions. Those are: 1. How do we encourage more female participation in the sport. 2. How do we STOP sexual harassment in our sport. I really only want to address #2 at this point, because 1 touches on a lot of hot buttons for me. I think 2 is far more straightforward. Our national body has rules and guidelines surrounding appropriate conduct. However I think most can agree that those rules are rarely enforced at the club level. This is probably a combination of little or no reporting, and little or no backlash against the club boards when nothing is done. I would also wager that there is no defined position at 99% of the sailing and racing clubs to deal with complaints of this nature. Every club under the mandate of US Sailing or utilizing the racing rules of sailing should be required to institute a position (or to add to one of the board members' responsibilities) to deal with complaints of this nature. US Sailing should codify the responsibilities of that person and lay out the pertinent training requirements, many of which are already online. Requirements should be in place for clubs to codify it in their own rules, and to post placarding of the local reporting process and the national reporting phone number that US Sailing maintains. I know, a lot of people will roll theirs eyes at that sort of thing, but it's really the appropriate response. When harassment happens on a boat during a race or in the club at the bar, members need an unambiguous way of reporting that (anonymously or not). And if appropriate actions are not taken, then they need to have an avenue at the national level. Once you have a couple of clubs censored for not taking actions in egregious cases I suspect you'll see more movement at the club level and a push done to the owner level to get this shit right.

    The Democratic Problem not solved

I can think of a things the democrats could/would improve immediately, but not one has a simple message. The correct answer is rarely simple or black and white. Privacy (internet data grabbing, biometrics run wild etc) Liberty (seperating children from their parents) Freedom (forfeiture laws, border travel, federal drug laws) Environment (reinstate protections, clarify laws, create and initiate a road map like Germany's to clean energy) Ambassadorship / world-wide good actor (stand up to rights violations like the Saudi event recent, meet treaty promises rather than just killing the treaty, treat our allies with the respect they are due etc)

You are sadly misinformed on what it means to have an open mind. Since you don't bother fact checking a lot of your information, you should be the last person quoting highly questionable website with highly questionable content.
