    Uglyboat Admiration Society Hang Out

I admire that it is named after Dorothy. I'm guessing ex-wife?

I watched that video where they grounded their boat. Left the boat with no idea of Maine's large tidal ranges. Came back to find the boat on its side. Then spent the day eating raw "oysters", which were mussels. Didnt realize the boat was flooding while they were collecting "oysters". Holy train wreck.

I do admit that I like their down to earth attitude. They're not afraid to show themselves vomiting over the side or admitting they're making plenty of mistakes. They also seem like the sorts that arent afraid to roll up their sleeves and get dirty.

OMG did you see the keel on that boat. JFC. How does it sail? Their yacht broker was trying to teach them to sail and promptly tore their battened main... he then had no idea how to lower the blown out sail. That was the last you see of their broker.

    Boats that I would buy

I'm sure you're going to love that boat. How do you plan to use it? mixture of cruising/racing? think you'll do much singlehanding?

    Boats that I would buy

I saw that one on Yachtworld. I'm looking for a 34. Congrats - The boat you're buying looks great. I'd be curious to hear the survey results. Not sure where you're located, but there's a 34 for sale in New York https://sellyourboatnow.shutterfly.com/14937 I'm located in San Francisco. I think thats the only 34 on the market at the moment. Thanks!

It seems everyone wants to turn their sailing exploits into a youtube reality show these days. This one popped up recently: Sailing Zatara A family of 6 sold everything and bought a nearly new monster Beneteau of 50+ feet without knowing how to sail. Hopefully this doesnt end in tears...
