I'm told that there is a model of Munequita on display at the Southern Yacht Club in New Orleans. Can anyone confirm this? Better still, can anyone post pictures? Thanks very much

This is great news!! I was afraid she would be scrapped. -

5 hours left on this auction. No bids. I think they shot themselves in the foot by re-listing with a starting point of $1000 plus the $300 fee. The user would have to spend another $1000 or so on a good used outboard as well. They are great boats, but sadly, the selling price for old Pearsons, even nice ones with good gear is low. In New England, the 26s seem to be everywhere. I'm a sucker for the green gel coat and would like to see a boat that did so well racing in the past live on. I hope someone buys it to sail and not scrap. While she has nice gear on deck, the keel being iron rather than lead may ward off would be boat vultures. -

She is re-listed. I went to see the boat and she is surprisingly good! The bilges were clean. The new Quantum 150 is crispy. The interior is neat and clean. The cushions were re-done in Sunbrella not too long ago. Each of the teak drawers inside is nicely varnished and the contents of each is organized with useful items like a Loos gauge, flares and a fire extinguisher both of which may actually still be current! Keel bolt heads had surface rust but were solid beneath that. The terminations of the shrouds, forestay and head stay did not have rust or cracks and overall the rig looked quite good. The windows leak, but she has tarps on her to keep the rain out. The new add has been updated to reflect all of this and include pics of the Genoa. All in all it seems pretty legit. Somebody really liked this boat. As it turns out, I just don't need another boat right now. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Pearson-26-Racing-Sailboat-Hull-1-14-Sails-included-Massachusetts/362624329420?hash=item546e1826cc:g:07IAAOSwivlcuJbv On another, unrelated note, I spotted a nice Ranger 37 on the next dock over! With a couple of notable exceptions, I never seem to see these except when they are total basket cases. -

Sorry to be out of the loop; is there really a fleet in Texas? -

With multiple bloopers and spinnakers as part of the rather large sail inventory, I figured someone probably raced her back in the day. I certainly hope she keeps sailing. -
Same. I went to grab a bottle of water below. Saw a bunch of bananas and instinctively threw them overboard. The guy who brought them was pretty surprised as it was his Dad's boat.

Not mine. But if you are a Pearson guy, this may be for you. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Pearson-26-Sailboat-Massachusetts/392272172395?hash=item5b553e556b:g:T1oAAOSwEpZcp5uh -

I went to take a look at the Pearson. The slip is paid through May 14. The builder's plaque states that this is hull#1!! She doesn't look at all bad. There are some interesting additions like a baby stay, a long track on the forestay (presumably to rig the staysail mentioned in the ad), a bridge over the companionway for some small winches and cleats. I think all of this is to aid in single handing. -
