  1. Just checked to see how my DST 800 fits in the new housing and it seams like my housing is to long and it doesn't sit flush. Anyone else have this issue and know how to resolve it? I am not sure if I can cut the housing down or not. Thanks

  3. Thats good news so you use the B&G Hornet 4 to NMEA and USB box from Tinley. if I understand right all your transducers go int the Hornet 4 and that is connected to the Tinley box which is then then connected to AT10 which you connect to a NMEA 2000 backbone or do you go straight into your plotter? the vulcan has two NMEA 2000 ports so I thinking to connect directly into one of those and use the other for my radio.
  4. Hi, I am wanting to add a Vulcan 7 to my boat and I am running a Hornet 4 and Hecta with Wind, depth and speed instruments. I am firstly trying to figure out how to do this and what I believe/hoping is that the current networks is NMEA 0183 so I am thinking of building a NMEA 2000 network, removing the Hecta and Hornet displays connecting Navico AT10 (https://www.navstore.com/simrad-at10-universal-converter-nmea-2000-nmea-0183-bridge.html) to each of my instruments and running it to the Vulcan 7. It would be nice to keep the Hecta and Hornet as I have the additional displays for it but I don't believe I can Do you guys think this will work or is there a better way and is the Hornet 4 and Hecta system actually NMEA 0183. My local marine store are telling me to replace all my transducers which is pretty costly.
  5. I need to replace my Electronics package (radio AIS&GPS/plotter/transducer?) on a budget so was looking at the Vulcan 7 due to its sailboat properties. Can someone give me an idea of what other plotters would be comparable cost and function wise as the Vulcan 7 appears to be the best Value and function.
  6. Guess I nailed it then! When I said cruise I meant I could take the wife away for a week in it but still race the boat
  7. So you have a budget up $80k US what boat would you go for. The aim is to cruise it after so thinking of boats like; beneteau 40.7 (out of Price range but this kind of Boat) Express 37 J105/J109 (J109 Probably to expensive)
