      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

  1. Looking at the southport entries there’s at least 3 boats that are on the entry list that have been put there to make it look like more boats are going though, at least RMYC have actual entries and don’t have to lie about it.
  2. Black Jack

Heard they broke the bowsprit and ran out of time to fix it before the start, think Hammo is still a go
  3. Go the Mumm36, But might want to try and get it a bit cheaper and find a swept back spreader rig for it, Cookson built boat alot better than the Carroll built ones
  4. Melbourne Big Boat Fleet

  6. What's happened to the C&C 30?

  8. What's happened to the C&C 30?

Will be interesting to see how he goes in his first regatta this weekend on the harbour, could have come for some good racing in another fleet but has chosen to chicken out and try to make sure he beats an Mc31 and J24 https://www.topyacht.com.au/db/aus/entrants_display.php?SeriesID=4421&Task=ShowSeriesEntrants&EventID=712

  11. Sydney to Hobart 2016

Not a loaner boat, they bought the boat and have been training for the last 2 months
  12. Sydney to Hobart 2016

They'll all be sure to give you a call when they arrive in Hobart and ask for your input next year. Have you ever been on Sydney Harbour? Seen the tiny race track they have have to navigate in between 3,000 frothing spectator boats, creating washing machine conditions across the course? Beating into a 20 knot headwind, with 90 other racing yachts around? Fuck... is right. As in, fuck off. 3,000 spectator boats my arse. I have and its not that bad Armchair Admiral.
  13. Melges 40 - Ho Lee Fuk
