      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

. J70 169, owned by John Heaton. John Poast called in with a medical emergency. A stroke was mentioned. Have no other details as to who was affected and what has happened since. Positive vibes have been sent to all on the boat.

Anybody want to chime in on this one? There is a pic on Grinder's Facebook page, but that would ruin all the fun.

Where is there a breakwall 2 miles out? From the Trib this morning: Two men and two girls were rescued from Lake Michigan late Thursday after their speed boat hit a breakwall about 2 miles out and they were all thrown into the water, authorities said. After hitting the breakwall about 10:15 p.m., the boat flipped over and capsized. Two men and the children, ages 10 and 12, were thrown in the water, according to Chicago police. All were wearing life vests. The accident happened about 2 miles offshore from approximately Chicago Avenue. One of the boaters placed a distress call and the Chicago Police Marine Unit responded as well as a Chicago Fire Department helicopter. Marine Unit officers rescued all four people and took them to Monroe Harbor. The men were treated by waiting paramedics and released on the scene, and the girls were taken to Children's Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

We decided that when you've completed 13 races to Waukegan you become a raccoon. Kinda like a goat but with much less dignity and self respect. If you remember Mathons you are automatically inducted. We will celebrate all raccoons next year up there. We had a lot of time to kill on the foggy motor back yesterday, can ya tell? I've eaten there. John cooked there. Dos mas raccoons.
