  1. I am looking for durable manageable short handleable sails for a med based j133. (I have a good suit of racing laminates). Considering 3di Nordac, any thoughts?

    J/133 or Bene First 45

    Thanks for your comments, all very helpful and reassuring that I'm not just biased or brainwashed to prefer the J. On the purchase of a 10 ish yr old boat, I'm guessing well used and well maintained beats unused and unloved?

    J/133 or Bene First 45

    The problem is that I showed the first 45 to the wife and she loved it. I then looked at all the deck gear and it's decently spec'ed, has the deep keel and rod rigging. The hull shape is fairly pointy and one beat all the 133s in the recent middle sea race, both up wind in light airs and downwind in a blow. i am concerned that it is too big and heavy for short handing, but Bene dealers say not. My gut feeling is a 133 but I'm struggling to justify why to the boss help please

    J/133 or Bene First 45

    Ok after lots of research, looking to replace a much loved X-402 with something more modern. search boiled down to J-133, or First 45 for cruising, day sailing, round the cans and some distance racing, all in the med. opinions please;
