      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

  1. Kids with helmets...WTF

They were helmets not for their own boom but for all the other booms that come flying at them at the gybe mark. As they are on Bics that bounce off each other rather than go crunch a lot of the kids jam in close with no care for the boat, or others at the marks. The kids choose to wear them, not the parents forcing them to

Flatbag as you know you are to let of Flares that are about to expire as it is an offence to let off expired flares, and an offence to have expired flares on your boat, so any flares used were about to expire officer. What a crock of shit! I would venture to say that a lot of boats on this pond have a kit of expired flares on them. I have been checked by the Water Wallopers and shown them expired flares as well as an in-date kit. Their comment to me was if you need them, you won't give a flying fuck about the date stamp! You can call it what you like, it is an offence under the commonwealth navigation act 2000 to use expired flares. You will also find some insurance companies will void your insurance. I do not care what you do or what a copper says, cop the wrong copper and you will be in strife. Just to let everyone know the legalities. yacht - are you able to cite the offence provision? BTW - the correct citation for the Act would be the Commonwealth Navigation Act 1912. To incorrectly cite the Act makes me think you are probably wrong also about the offence, but I'm happy to be proved wrong. Yes was told several times by the people at Pains Wessex , now chemring, and during several SSSC. Could well be the Com Nav act 1912.I did not look it up. I am not saying do not let off expired flares, well yes I am, but do not advertise that you are going to do so.

They have a very nice magazine with lovely things to cook in it. Is there some thing better?

Hi Gordo here. Unfortunately it is an offence under the Commonwealth Navigation Act to let of any expired flare, so neither myself or YA or anybody wants old flares. You can take them to Police stations or most chandleries that sell flares will take old ones back. Haveing expired flares on your vessel can invalidate your insurance Hopr that helps
