    The pussification of England continues.....

Cheers Rick, got any suggestions where? California's of the list, thats for sure 'Spose I could always sell some batteries and get a free flight. My link Whats Texas like? If you don't mind a bit of chilly weather now and again, any county north of Los Angeles county actually is very pretty and much more reasonably priced. Assuming you don't mind living a mile from the beach. Further inland (and northier) you can get more acreage/rural settings for le$$ pounds. Central Cali is actually gorgeous (yeah, I know I bitch about this place everyday),but the ocean will be 60-----in the summer. I don't know shit about North Cali, except that it's more small townish with some more freedoms. But remember, this state has some of the highest taxes in America.....and the fucking Liberals/Demmys that have screwed this place up so much in less than 2 decades will probably continue running the place for a few more election cycles still. Texas? There's a whoooooooole lotta cheap land out there, the people are more down to Earth and about anything goes. Also (like Florida) no income taxes and a part time legislature. The area around Dave K's place (near Austin) is truly bitchin, as is most of The Hill Country and the land that follows the Guadalupe River. But there's some drastic temperature swings there as well. We only saw the Texas ocean area from around Galveston (where we had dinner with JDubs) east towards Louisiana, but it's pretty as well. But the only reason I'm aiming for Florida is that I need cleaner, warmer water.....

Hey Mad, did you hear about your countrymen who spent weeks cleaning up their property of dead plants, weeds and trash in an attempt to beautify their land? Only to find out that they also inadvertantly cleaned up some property that is owned by your Highway Authority? Guess what----they recieved a nasty letter from that agency that they not only need to buy a permit, but that they also have to put back all of the dead plants, weeds and trash they removed on the Highway land back exactly how they found them----or face legal action. Jfc.....

Heller v. DC being heard today

Sorry, I missed that one. It probably lacks the historical perspective of this thread anyway... That was almost four years ago, and despite the Supreme Court's decision, today it looks from Emily's experience as if we are going to have to wait a lot longer before learning what DC would be like if people could just buy guns there in the normal, American way. Except for a few buildings full of neat olde stuff, I'm having a hard time seeing any benefit D.C has for America....

That was some grisly shit, J. Here's the story when it first broke. I see 3 charges of murder at the very f'ng least; Hammer and knife used to kill Guiseppe and Caterina Massaro Tuesday 26th April 2011, 11:30AM BST. Can’t see video? Update Adobe Flash Player Video may take a moment to load. Return to Video Index An elderly couple found murdered in the bedroom of their Wolverhampton house had been stabbed and beaten with a knife and a hammer, detectives revealed today. Guiseppe and Caterina Massaro died of multiple injuries after what police called a “sustained and brutal attack”. Officers, who have been taken aback by the ferocity of the violence, today said they believed they had recovered the weapons used from the scene of the ransacked house in Woden Road, Heath Town. They also revealed Mr Massaro, who was due to become a great-grandfather in the summer, had tried to fend off his attackers and suffered defensive wounds. Three of their grandchildren, Lindsey Booth, 23, her brother Richard, 22, and their cousin Rosa Carella, 28, attended a press conference today and described their grandparents as beautiful and caring. Supt Mark Payne, of Wolverhampton Police, said he was pleased with the response from the public. He added: “I’d like people to think about where they were on the evening of Thursday into Friday and if they were in Woden Road, a popular cut through, to think about whether they saw any suspicious activity.” Three men, two from Wolverhampton, aged 32 and 21, and one from Birmingham, 30, were in custody on suspicion of murder. Two TVs, one worth just £40, were stolen, along with a Peugeot 307, which was recovered. Anyone offered them for sale was urged to come forward and will not be treated as a suspect. Lindsey Booth found her 80-year-old grandfather and 77-year-old grandmother dead at the house on Friday. The break-in took place on Thursday night. You gotta be Fracking kidding me??? One of the problems with this world is there is not ENOUGH shame and humiliation. We coddle criminals, we coddle children, we coddle workers, we coddle corporations that fail, etc. Not every kid can win or be the best, not every worker should get a raise or promotion, not every company should be prevented from failing, Criminals should be treated like criminals - there SHOULD be shame and humiliation for stealing. There should be some shame involved for failing. Jebus - its not the pussification of England alone. Its the pussification of the human race. HTFU! I think that if you are a "boss" in a company, then you can be trusted to be judge and jury. And you have every right to parade a person to the police station with a sign around his neck. There's no way he could be wrong, right? I mean, he totally KNEW that Gilbert was guilty, no mistakes there. And there's no chance any other manager/owner would make a mistake either. I mean, they are a boss in a business...they wouldn't make a mistake. I'm all with you man....we need more of this shit. But...if for some reason, he was wrong. The check was for reimbursment or whatever. Does Gilbert get to put some sign around this boss' neck and march him somewhere? What's the penalty for being wrong? Any other empty musings floating around in your head today?......
