      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

  1. Ugly dodger collection

So does the raccoon come with the boat? Do you have to fight him for it? After plunking down a wasted $1500? Thanks for the chuckle . . .
  2. Coolboats to admire

The side mount outboard is one thing that I like. Easier to deploy and stow than hanging off the transom. Only needed if there's no wind. If she's kept on a swinging mooring, even better. It's there as a get you home when the wind dies, but lives in the locker otherwise. And a Torqeedo (sic) with a separate battery makes great sense. Lighter than a petrol engine, & no leaky fuel worries. Well, I like the torqueedo too, but the sidemount not so much, both looks and function (what about port side docking for example?). So why not have it an a lazarette on a bracket, centerline mounted. From the pic, it looks like there is a hatch on the fantail already . . .
  3. 28 foot cruisers?

In that case LOL - how about this? http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/2010/Ranger-Tugs-25SC-With-Trailer-2609352/Bellingham/WA/United-States#.UijmBz_hevU Better living space even on the trailer. Good cruising range and low consumption numbers. I hate to say it but if I were doing the RV on the water type thing the Ranger Tug would tops on the list. No rig it raise. After doing the U20 since the late 90's only trailered Sailboats I'm owning in the future will be little 20ft and under rigs heck even the Compac Sun Cat tip up cat rig looks damn good to me at this point. LOL Our 28 footer only comes out for bottom jobs even then the rig stays up. Ha This is mostly sailing anarchy right? This is sailing trailerable, 3500 # . . . http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/2012/Com-pac-23-Pilothouse-2637968/Portland/OR/United-States
