    Chartering in Croatia

I've done Split to Dubrovnik one-way in 12 days, which was an easy pace and allowed for a zigzag course to visit all the islands and spots we wanted to. Moorings/Sunsail, so not the cheapest, but reputable and reliable. Beware charges for marinas and even anchoring in some places- more expensive than you would expect. Maybe they need the extra money to buy vowels for their language. But the great food makes up for it- and you always know who ate the black risotto...

VOR Leg 11 Gothenburg to The Hague

It's over for everyone but TTOP and Scally, and I've still got a long-shot hope that TTOP gets lucky on the 30th. If TTOP beats Scally with 2 boats in between, TTOP would beat Scally overall, as the 3rd tie breaker is results of the last in-port. Go Dee!

Wow, great call. Dong beat Mapfre by 17 minutes...

VOR Leg 11 Gothenburg to The Hague

For TTOP fans, there is another week to wait for the final result! At current positions, they will be tied on overall points with Scally. The tiebreaker is the In-port series results, and Ttop could theoretically still beat Scally next week at the Hague In-Port, as they are only 3 points behind. Unlikely perhaps, but still possible...

Last edition, one of the teams was auctioning off their leg jumper positions to raise money, and it wasn't that expensive. Too bad that wasn't an option for this leg ride-along... would be way more interesting and fun, and I would have bid on that if the timing worked.

I think you've picked too many "current or past professional sailors" that the OA would be unlikely to approve. I imagine the choice will be made by the sponsor, not the race team, so unlikely to be a sailor.

Just to clarify, Dongfeng can win overall, even without ever winning a leg. They just need to beat Mapfre and Brunel- positions could be 4-5-6 in the last leg and they would still win.

After rounding the mark, will they engaging in a jibing duel? Seems the finish is almost dead downwind...

Seems Mapfre is continuing to sail high, like they want to go over the top, while the others are now all sailing about 10 degrees lower, like they plan to go through. That would make an interesting split in 6 hours.

Trouble on Akzo? Dropped to 2 knots, changed course 45 degrees... Edit: picking back up now. Perhaps a wipeout. But it did allow TTOP to pass.

Be interesting if TTOP and Akzo can sail around being a bit farther out...

Wind shadow along the shore and perhaps a current eddy pushing them the wrong way...

I hadn't noticed this "Potential Points Calculator" before. Makes it easy to play with different scenarios, and saves a lot of math...
