And just to twist your brain a little more, that race never happened. and thats a good thing! Is not! :-( Seriously, it was the right call, but a bummer to be second at the mark only to have it blown off.

http://gibsonisland.com/yachtsquadron/race-regattas/j35-north-american-championship/ Results, photos, etc. I'll let someone who saw or felt, instead of just heard, tell about Medicine Man. And that one photo of the start with Scot-Free/Windependent in the foreground is my new wallpaper. Nail one start in two weekends and all is forgiven by the crew.....

Scratch sheet is up. http://gibsonisland.com/yachtsquadron/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/J35-North-Americans-Scratch-Sheet.pdf Look for something soon about a J/35 OD start with the Magothy River Wednesday night group on 9/8. No cost, just an excuse for a shakedown.....

We thought about the Mid-Atlantics last year, but didn't quite pull it together. Don't be surprised if we make it this Fall. We've done a couple of Annapolis Race Week's and an Oxford weekend. Problem is that the Annapolis clubs seem to always put us on the Thomas Point course -- making for a long delivery. If anyone needs a place to stash a boat or two before or after the NA's, let me know. We can probably come up with some free or low cost options.

Bump, How Annapolis-centric of you. :-) Charlie and Eighth Deadly Sin are pretty active in PHRF north of the Bridge. Rampage really does exist, but may not be One-Design conforming -- they usually do Gov Cup in NS. Scot-Free is for sale. And Uncle Joe is new to them.

Bump, that was Ballyhoo.

Gibson Island has a small hotel about .25 miles from the boathouse that I understand will be available. There isn't much else close, but I'll keep my eyes open for possible rentals. Would you know the name of that hotel? It's part of the Gibson Island Club. Mark McG (regatta chair and class prez) may have contact info, and it should be mentioned in the NOR, etc. when it comes out.
