      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

That would be this guy; he's on the east side of Aristazabal Island now, according to the tracker: http://leg2.r2ak.com/ http://www.liteboat.fr/en/start-of-the-race/https://www.facebook.com/Liteboat.R2AK/ You live on McInnes Island? So small it appears only on the satellite view, not the regular map: https://goo.gl/maps/Bkrx6cyiVXP2 That must be interesting? Tell us more? Yes that's him! Yes I live on McInnes. The Canadian coast guard maintains several manned light houses up this way, we mainly do weather reports and "stuff". Our closest neighbour is ivory island, also manned. Not much to tell, I work for a few months for the Cg and then sailing in Vancouver. I'm usually on "occams razor", if they haven't booted me yet or jackrabbit a cm1800 probably the fastest boat ever! awesome watching the boats pass by!Edit: he picked a good day for it. It gets pretty rough up here normally rough enough for the waves to knock a few sea lions off their rock now and then. Cool! One year sailing to Haifa Gwai from Bull Harbor, one tack took me in your direction. I could see the glow from the light at night. My parents had friends on Bonilla Island and rode the helo out to visit them. I think Ocams Razor is entered in WIRW. Looks like you will miss it.Yes, I will be missing out on WIRW again this year again. But work is work! We monitor 83a. And channel 16 next time you're up this way you can call for a weather update! hope all the racers get in for this year in a timely and safe manner.

  3. R2AK 2016

A liteboat hull number 6 with a tiny French flag passed my Lightstation (McInnes island) at around 1330 local time yesterday, if anyone is looking for him.
  4. Sailing around the world in a San Juan 24

Grifter, eh? I hope he doesn't sue.
  5. Sailing around the world in a San Juan 24

..why don't we do a an kick-starter SA version of sail around the world campaign? We could pick a capable sailor and donate money to send him (or her) around the world the way we'd want to do it. Also does anyone have any good reading suggestions of people who have pulled it off and wrote about it? It seems like a great idea but executed by someone who shouldn't be left alone in a bathtub..
  6. chop it down and stick it on a tasar.

Laundry - and the patch locations can be pre-sewn w/velcro at the factory, making it easier/cheaper to issue uniforms than requiring each individual to deal w/sewing on patches. Very clever, Thanks!

    Why is the flag removable?
  9. Some of my old sailing photos 2

  10. women of sa calendar

So has anyone seen this calendar and can recommend it? I don't want this to be another village ladies styled disappointment followed by horror followed by emergency re-gifting.
  11. Hmm.. I think this is one of those littoral combat ships i have been hearing so much about. Stealthy!
  12. F-22 Update

Why do insist on clicking on these threads? They have literally no raptor content.
