      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

  1. Where are all the cool boats in CA going?

It's simple if you buy the boat outside of California and keep it there for a year you do not owe California sales tax. If you are an AZ resident then there's no way you can be assessed CA sales tax. You will have to pay property tax if you keep the boat in California BUT boats are selling for less than $65,000.00 so the property tax should be less than $650.00 per year.

FARR 40's are sitting on the hard in Cabrillo just waiting for sailor's. BY FARR ( pun intended ) the best ( and most cost effective) big boat one design sailing on the planet. Local rules limit the cost ( Max of 3 sails per year. Max 2 pro's.) Just for the record: There are more boats sitting in Cabrillo than are racing at the worlds. Just last week we had 5 FARR's show up for Saturday sailors race and the year just started. We are expecting a great year once the highpoint series start. Good race ready boats can be had for $65,000.00 In Cabrillo 01) Voodoo *1 02) Viva *1 03) Huckleberry 3 04) White Knight III 05) Foil 06) Blade 07) Insanity 08) Coquille 09) Groovederci *1 10) Nightshift *1 12) Dark Star *1 13) Skian Dhu (sale pending will remain in SoCal) In Long Beach/ Newport Beach 14) Temptress 15) Wild Thing *1 In Santa Barbara 16) Abracadabra In San Diego 17) Piranha Northern California 18) Astra 19) Chaya *1 20) Twisted *1 Available for charter
