      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

  1. Given the state of that engine, I would suggest that wind is its only propulsion
  2. try this.....http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/boa/5158120851.html
  3. I wonder why they put the window at the top of this sail? http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/boa/5158120851.html
  4. I looked at one of these a few years back but the hull was Fero Cement and the advertised nuclear power drive turned out to be an Atomic 4. It was not worth the effort.
  5. this model sails backwards quite well... http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/bnc/boa/4950852523.html
  6. but $650 for a "new diesel 10hp" is a pretty good deal, and you part out the rest to businesses in need of freezer doors
  7. But consummating the act on this boat would be like drinking American beer.
  8. Here is a nice cat, it is only $800. http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/boa/4074719097.html It makes the 8 foot near new, river pram look like an amazing deal.
  9. I must admit I did not even notice the mast steps. All I thought was "if this is best picture you can take of your boat, it must be in really bad shape". BUt he does say it is in "sailing condition" not "good condition" or "great condition".
  10. Check out this 70' cat, only $20k. Go to the Flickr pics for a real treat. http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/bnc/boa/4029224107.html
  11. Tom is this the picture you mean.... http://forums.sailinganarchy.com/index.php?showtopic=141767&page=6 - about 1/2 way down.
  12. I liked the 15 knots in Johnstone Strait - in a San Juan 24. Maybe if it was on a trailer on a ferry. That part of the coast has some very big tidal currents. 15 knots may be quite achievable on the GPS.
  13. I think he bought a bottle of rum before he wrote the ad.... http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/boa/3985823276.html
  14. Check out this beauty. http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/boa/3935187309.html Too bad the pictures don't show the mast up. It does look very short.
  15. Somebody bid $405 for a tarp?
