      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

It appears to be down again. You can access the tracker directly here: http://cf.yb.tl/bayviewmack2015
  2. Bells Beer Bayview Mackinac

Hi - two problems: 1) The Bayview website (where our map page is embedded) went down for a time, and therefore people couldn't access the tracker (our direct link is http://cf.yb.tl/bayviewmack2015if this happens again). 2) Someone on the Bayview race team appears to have entered an incorrect finish time for Il Mostro at some point, which 'finished' them a couple of hours before the finish. We've corrected now, so you can see the remainder of their track. Their tracker was absolutely fine, and transmitting merrily.
  3. Nick: I'm interested in how you are calculating the placings for the SHTP. I've got a process (for the first half of the race) whereby I develop a "fake race" based on the average distance covered by each boat to date, then do a time on distance calculation for each boat based on that race.

  4. Hi

    It's still available at http://yb.tl/transpac2011

Sorry they have removed it from their website - seems a bit quick to me, but we don't have control over theirs! However, via this link the tracking will be available for at least 12 months...

  5. Hi Nick from YellowBrick. I just arrived home from TransPac,looking forward to checking your site out and review our tracking, only to find any TransPac tracking info completely removed from their website and the tracking already gone from yours. It sure would have been nice to be able to promote your website and equipment if I could have played with it.

    Cheers,
