Next European hull for spring delivery if ordered now is 68 apparently. No 58 will be at London Boat Show.

Yachts and Yachting has shortlisted the J/111 as their Boat of the Year for 2011. Don't forget to vote for it and you have until the 28th December to do so. You can do so by following/clicking this link: http://www.yachtsandyachting.co.uk/articles/yachts-yachting-pick-of-the-year-%E2%80%93-awards-shortlist/

Sounds like Blur had fun and they would certainly get the best out of the J/111. Spoke with J-Dream about their weight requirement. As they are racing IRC they believe that another 2 people on the rail would be beneficial, as it is to most boats. They sail with some little people, apparently about 58, 62, 67 kg. Their weight on the J109 was 598-599.8kg plus driver so they are probably 30-35kg over the J/111 rule. Kirsty is amused that David will have to lose weight too instead of eating cooked breakfast whilst they all wait to weigh in! There were 2 J/111s out at the Winter Series yesterday and watching them come downwind they were on fire. I wished I was on one of them, that was for sure! Apparently doing consistent 15 knots in 18-20knots breeze. We rounded one leeward mark with JD, same windward mark and then they were coming back upwind as we were still only half way down the run. JDs results so far are DNC. DNC, 3, 9, 4, 3, 5 if they had the same handicap as Jenga and they do not have a racing main.
