      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

  1. AC Youth Cup

That was a pretty anticlimactic way to end the Youth AC. I agree with the guys in the booth that these kids are clearly skilled enough to sail in these conditions.
  2. Artemis?

Just posted this on the Oracle thread... This may be obvious, or already discussed, but as far as the Artemis and Oracle foiling 45's, it looks to me like Oracle is using their dated foil setup (i.e. in front of the beam and the older boards), where as Artemis has just recently cherry picked what they considered the best setup and put it together well. So, I would say it is not surprising at all that their 45 is more stable and faster on foils than the Oracle 45. ...I will add on this thread that it doesn't matter how good your setup is if you don't have quality sailors who can control it. Definitely some credit is due to the Artemis guys.

Clean is spot on, that moment when he locks in, and I think make a quick turn down the track, the boat just fucking takes off. Awesome stuff.
  4. Vestas Sailrocket

Damn. They are so far beyond anything out on the water right now, it's ridiculous! Congrats Larson! Y'all are kicking ass.
