      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

  1. VOR '17-'18 - THE GAME

So if it's like this for all of the longer legs and there maybe 6 of the legs that qualify for the higher pricing we could be paying $70-$120 for this game. If you place high enough you could accrue enough credits to offset those cost. Either way it appears the guys at VR have significantly increased the price of playing this time around.
  2. VOR '17-'18 - THE GAME

Leg 2 is open and I was looking forward to paying $5 for the full option package again. Now these idiots want $15 for the full monty, WTF. All the options are jacked up and it still makes more sense to pay the $15 if I want a competitive boat. Don't know if I can justify paying this much for a game. Seems the VR guys are stepping on their dicks on this one.

    Back for another lap. Prowler-1_SA

    Thanks, make sense.

Maybe this has been answered already but how do the boys connect to their pedals? Most high end cyclist have a method of clipping in to the pedals to maximize the efficiency of the full pedal stroke. These systems (integrations) often result in a bulky and possibly sharp mechanism underfoot. Also interested in their ability or lack there of to free wheel or adjust the pedals without load.
  6. What do you think the differences are between the Landmark 43 and the Sydney GTS 43? Sorry, I don't know anything about the GTS. Not an expert on boats yet The landmarks up here (I think there are 4), are always on the podium, but of course it also may be because it's rather expensive and hence the teams on them are pretty serious. Thanks BowGal, not a question aimed directly at you but to the general Anarchist out there. Both are Mills designs and I see the obvious differences in the specs. What are the build differences? Interior differences? ETC. Have they ever raced head to head?
  7. The Landmark 43 is a sweet boat! Does well in IRC too. And in ORC, it won the worlds in Copenhagen 2016, with mr Landmark himself at the helm What do you think the differences are between the Landmark 43 and the Sydney GTS 43?
  8. R.I.P. "da man" Bill Stevens

Sorry to hear this Bob. Had many conversations with him about my FT and he was always fair and easy to to talk to. Fair winds Bill.

Hey Scott, Did I read a good sportsman like congradulations in your post anywhere to the boys (and 13 yr old girl) on Plankton, all three of them. You bought an OD boat so I don't understand all the ratings BS going on here. FYI if you want to sail faster don't have your pro's out till the wee hours boozin it up. I think flats of beer and Bloodys the morning of are not speed enhancing. Everytime you win it's well deserved, when you don't just tip your hat and figure out where you gave it away. I'd bet ya you did not work your boat around that course as much as the Viper crew did.

and how does that make you feel.....
