      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

Well, that one's not on Netflix instant, so it'll have to wait. One day...

Ah! I'm so uncultured when it comes to movies. What flick?

OMG, why would you want to put something like a crab pot in that car???!!! Put the crab pots in the land yacht, then Sliver, put the stylish people in the stylish car! Sheesh, do I have to give lessons in super car etiquette around here? Kim, if you need someone to drive the car when you're out daysailing, I selflessly volunteer.

Kim, you're selling this all wrong. The pretty red car would be for SWMBO, like an accessory. It's something she could wear. Like a scarf or a necklace, only faster and more dangerous. Have her imagine how fantastic she would look with a Lambo Gallardo Spyder around her. You have Sliver, she has the Spyder...

Is it still on target to be finished by spring? I'm available to crew ANYTIME!
  7. Courtney, I know you've gotten tons of advice and offers of help from the Cruising anarchy gang but I'm right here in Kingston so if I can do anything to help you out regarding you boat disaster let me know. What's the latest? are you still living aboard? I know I'd have been devastated.

Bob, it takes a real man to admit he has bonded with his man purse. My respect for you just grew two fold. Rock on, you boat-designing-man-purse-toting Jedi. Rock on. kimb, you can order sunbrella swatches from sailrite.com for a buck a piece. Dark colors shrink space, light colors expand space. As a graphic designer, I know a thing or two about colors and might be able to help you out.

Looking good, James. What are you plans for Eclipse? kimb, I can't wait to see Silver out there on the water.
  10. hi Courtney. i hope you get your boat problems squared away asap. and that you're able to be safely at home and writing again in either a new and better one, or a fully repaired one with no financial outlay on your part. Glad the guy was a stand up guy about it. i wonder what could have gone so wrong with his boat to have caused the multiple crashes?

Wow, this project is looking great, kimb. What's the approximate timeline for completion? It's interesting to watch a boat build in progress, seeing all the pieces coming in. There's something satisfying about watching a project develop into a masterpiece.
