      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

  1. Renting a sailboat for a couple of hours in San Diego

http://www.sandiegosailing.net/bare-boat-charters.html. About $225 will get you a Catalina 30 from Noon to Midnight. $325 and you get it overnight. I did similar back in about 2006. We were having a national sales meeting at the Lowe's Coronado. I got approval from the National Sales Manager to use the Corp Card to rent for the afternoon and took our largest distributor and team sailing. I had to use the logic that it would be perfectly acceptable to take distributor golfing and this would be cheaper. I arrived about 11am on an early flight, cab to marina and picked up boat about noon. From there, I motored directly to and docked at Lowe's Coronado. Loaded passengers on about 2:00. I had a great time and was an absolute hero to the guests.
  2. Lake Erie Anarchy Part 2

On today's radio news, WKSU, Public Radio had a story about Edgewater Marina and Storm Sandy reconstruction. http://www.wksu.org/news/story/35243 The link will take you to the story, audio and pictures. Wow, strange, same exact timing of post with Chicken
  3. Lake Erie Anarchy Part 2

The East course was run very well. My thanks to Titge and all. Again thanks to Bob Shepard and crew for tireless work. Well done to Majic, the winner of Level 72, who made the big trip from Erie, PA and then did a great job of schooling the fleet.
