I'm pretty sure that's it! Wow, thanks. Doesn't look like it'll be easy to find one though.

    Boat Id help

So this boat floated past our house yesterday evening and my wife and I both decided we want one for our "family" boat. The occupants were not helpful in answering the hail of "what boat is that?!!!!" So now I turn to you! What boat is this? It's a "tri" so I posted it here, but maybe it should go in dinghy anarchy?

    Live on FB, NOW

Huh, just watched the start of race 2. Japan was "OCS" when the timer on screen was flashing "racing" for at least five seconds.... Guess they have a few logistics to work out. Look forward to see them in San Francisco. Still find them impressive, but it will be better if/once everyone can actually sail their boats!

    C-Class Little Cup news

Kite foiler would be the fastest in more than 6 knots. Less and that and any boat with a displacement mode will win as we'll be siting in the water with a wet sleeping bag

And Kenny Read is the owner now? Jim Clarke gave it to him to get his wife back?

    How to watch live races?

That's what's usually on before coverage starts. The show also starts right on 10AM PDT. First race is usually at 7 minutes past the hour.

    How to watch live races?

Yes, asking someone who's is charging me money for something to get the label correct is a completely unreasonable expectation. Let's hope I can overcome the incompetence I'm surrounded by and make my way in the world...

    How to watch live races?

That's what I did, but I don't see today's races in the list, only Sunday onwards. And "Fleet Racing" umm yeah good start NBC Sports.

White painted lower section on the foil, or ventilation bubble? It doesn't have the same blur as the stb foil. The tip looks like it's through the surface and still appears white. Edit: Just frame by framed with the space bar from here and it's definitely painted white : https://youtu.be/ul7Tv5cy-9k?t=13 (youtu.be/ul7Tv5cy-9k?t=13)

Look, it would be strange if Oracle weren't taking a second look and cycle powered grinders now that someone else has done it. Will they use it? Probably not, but they'll be re-evaluating if they got some performance number wrong, and if they did is it worth it to now switch at this late stage? Multi variant analysis, but this isn't exactly weekend warrior sailing. Like I said, it's an unlikely scenario but you have to do your due diligence when you're the defender or even a strong challenger with some spare $$$. Anyone remember the kite Oracle went sailing around with in Auckland in, I think, 2002? Do you think that caused a few other teams to evaluate kites downwind sailing? When ETNZ started foiling, do you think there was a re-evaluation by Oracle? Etc, etc, etc.

I hear ya, and yeah - those guys are amazing. That story is as epic as the comeback. But looking at the AC budgets, and the CFD available to the teams, I wouldn't 100% rule >50 kts out. Sailrocket was also unbound by pesky rules about how many foils they could have on the boat. They had a "normal" cavitating foil to get started and then rose up onto the super cavitating foil as they got faster. The super cavitaing foils are shaped like a sushi knife and are crap at "low" (sub 45 knot) speeds, they were just along for the ride up until their sweet spot. So Sailrocket was kind of draggy and inefficient, until they weren't! Not saying it's impossible under the AC rules, but it's not very likely in a "conventional" foiling boat like we're seeing. You'd have to get to speed and stay there all the time to make it worthwhile.
