      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

  1. AC Youth Cup

Unfortunately it was not to be, we had a bad day yesterday with a 2, 3, 3 and the Portuguese had a good one and finished one point ahead of us and the Swiss one ahead of them. We put our all into our campaign and sailing at the trials so we're not regretting anything. It's been pretty difficult putting this together with limited resources but its been a great experience for everyone. Both going and sailing and organising the campaign (budget, media, logistics, team/people management, etc). Obviously we're all gutted but we've learnt tons and enjoyed every minute. Good luck and well done to the teams that got through, it's going to be an awesome event.

1330 local. The kite halyard lock wasn't working this morning on the black boat do they have pulled the boat out to sort out the problem.
  3. AC Youth Cup

Hi everyone, Just to clarify, this is the pairing list. The results from today's racing (day 1) is as follows: only 5 out of the 6 race completed due to gear failure on 1 boat. SUI 1,1 POR 1,2 GBR 1,2,1 ITA 3,3 ARG 2,3,2 NZL 3,3,2 Tomorrow 7 races scheduled (6 + the one missed today) The broken boat was the black one (old Team Korea), the halyard lock for the kite was slipping. From our perspective we were quite lucky in one of the races, catching a big gust and smoking downwind past two boats. The racing is much closer than we expected, they're keeping the courses short to help get through the schedule. We're enjoying sailing the boats and sailing on the bay! Another video is in the process of being made, hopefully to be uploaded before 8am Western Time US.
  4. AC Youth Cup

DKMS - thats not far off what we were talking about! No sailing today due to too much wind, they are operating a maximum wind limit of 17kts to help ensure none of the boats get broken. Early start tomorrow for training to try and catch up lost time. Racing is still due to begin on Friday.
