      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

  1. Small multihull poll

For those interested, results from the poll to date can be seen here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6VwWUmokJvQejNhdzduUTI4bzA/view?usp=sharing Good to have some data to reflect what sailors are interested in, though I bet the results skew heavily towards people who already have or want a little multihull! For those who indicated an interest in staying informed, we'll send out updates as they occur. Thanks!
  2. Small multihull poll

The goal is to increase the number of people racing boats they enjoy...if that can be a higher performance multihull - awesome. We're trying to make that happen. "We" is myself and several other very active multihull sailors who play in other fleets once and a while. Sure, some of the questions might be stupid to someone already racing here. That's not the point. We hope the info collected quantifies the rum tent conversations and clarifies what someone new yet interested in multihulls might be looking for. There are tons of options in the 20-30' range, and all of them have failed to form an active and growing racing circuit. While I see handicap racing as good for rallying existing boats, there has been no new response which indicates interest in joining a handicap fleet. Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far. For those interested, we'll make the results public in a few days.
  3. Small multihull poll

Do sailors in the US want to race faster boats? There's been some discussion about a sportboat style multihull fleet, so we've put together a quick survey to see if there's actually enough momentum for something to happen. Seems like there's lots of fun racing to be had...as long as a group can agree on a platform and racing format. http://goo.gl/forms/2LLbh7Y6T2 Please take the poll and share it around!
