      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

  1. My first comparison between O30 and ssc27 is the design, I got really bruised and abused single handing O30. I'm sure better sailors than me can manage just fine, but I just enjoy the space in the Seascape cockpit. And then there is the a-sym, so I don't have to do a trip to a bow every time I try to jibe. In light air O30 can be a fast boat, I don't have a massive genny on the SSC27, but the boat is overpower as it is so unless I find 5 friends to seat on the rail it would be hard to carry more sail. They are both really light and fun boats,
  2. My previous boat was O-30, trust me this is much faster in every point of sail, just ask the DD O-30 guys who kicked us out of second start...
  3. 99 Downhill it's a rocket we got it to 18+ and easy steady 15+ , up you are limited to short waterline and top off at 6.7 hull speed at 32 apparent.
  4. Owner fucking loves it with a passion usually reserved for opposite sex. Hell yea we race, this year R2AK !!! Sorry I took off so quickly this morning, had to run to work Check out this: https://seascape27.tumblr.com/
  5. it's a Neptune's bike here is his car:
  6. The blog for "Persistence" http://seascape27.tumblr.com/
  7. New one, so far that's all I know about, but I would love to see one design fleet here! If you are in town (or there abouts) let me know, will take her out.
  8. Outboard 9.9 Merc, It sits under the cockpit, I had to do a little mod to the tiller, but it fits just fine. PHRF 102 (east coast boat) Offshore same as J-88 Its rated B for ocean, so yea Hawaii here I come!
  9. Here she is in Seattle! Some assembly required, but finally in the water and sailing to her new home!
  10. Ctutmark got it! SSC 27 - pre assembly.
