J/22 Class at St. Pete Noods (2010)

Recommended Posts

Kinda curious as to what is the deal the th J22 fleet in St. Pete NOODs. orignaly there were 6 boats, than five, now today (Wednesday prior to event) there are four. So are people just dropping out due to the drive? Did people just register to bump up the class? Or is the J22 fleet down in that neck of the woods just plain dying out? Any ideas rather than the typical BS? THanks

Yes to all your questions. Having owned a J22 for a decade, I can say it was by far the very best boat, of the 18 or so I've owned, of them all (cats and tri included). However, that was then. This is now, which is why I sold the J22 and bought a Viper 640. No "rub it in" BS, just fact. I have, without fail, always caught the tail-end of a dying fleet (MORC, PHRF, J-22, etc.). Finally, in my old age and wisdom, caught the leading edge of the shift, or curve, instead of the tail-end. Never look back.
