Day 4 - Will The US Air Force Strike?

Recommended Posts

We've seen two elder statesman controlling this regatta thus far - first Amac (AUS), then Simon Payne (GBR), but young america is coming on strong, and the fleet is stacked up in bunches of close points.

I'm off to bed but will see you in a few!

Thanks for that.

Its amazing just to get instantaneous results.

In the bad old days we had to wait 3 or 4 days for the National newspapers to report (maybe) and possibly get a full report 3 months later in the sailing magazines (remember Seacraft?)

Roll on OTWA

Quite right. While the video is all very good, it's a bit hit and miss.

Can't beat a good on the button forum entry.

I'll tell ya..Moths in 9 knots aint exactly ideal highlight conditions...but I do what i can. Todays footie even less than stellar due to even crappier wind conditions....There is a edit coming immediately post event( sunday) and then a full recap in the weeks to follow. Im gonna hop on the Mother Ship with the "live" OTW team for some better sound bites and candids during the races....gonna go for a swim and actually get footage..unlike Cleans 2 attempts..ahhahaha but he does look good in a spring suit with goggles on his dome....nnnt.

lates

the good rev

keep up the good work guys

I'm not gonna make it tomorrow - flight test canceled - I was turned around at the airport - 30 minutes later I would have been on the way with nothing to do once I arrived - bummer

Petey,

Nice vid, good job as usual. You need to put the music you use at the end,if you can. You pick some good tunes.

Don't forget to smack JC upside his head every chance ya get, it keeps his brain from gelling. Thanks.

Great work OTWA. Your stuff keeps getting better and better.

Some more info and video about what it's like in Dubai would be interesting.

Maybe a short video tour of the places where racing sailboats are kept, where the RC44 stuff goes down, anything about sailing life in Dubai would be great. Your first-hand impressions captured on video or in written words are always great stuff.

Damn pete, you'd have had PLENTY to do! Oh well, I guess we'll catch you later this summer when we're out west. Re: Sea snakes - fuck 'em. They'd choke on my blood right now after the night we had at the Nisimi Beach party. 5000 people, about 4000 of them women, and one of the most famous DJs in the world. INSANE!

Re: Dubai - Mer and Felipe are out running the desert right now, shooting camels and bedouins and all that. Should be interesting to see what they come up with. I'm uploading vids and what not right now.

tis a bummer - sorry i missed it - seeing as how i'll be out there in a couple of weeks anyway when the flight test is back on

and to be clear - my thing about stuck out there with nothing to do - what i meant i would be stuck getting paid by work, to ride around on boats, watching moths, drinking beer on expenses

see ya next time
