      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

Day 2 - Can We Get Some Bikini Weather Please

Recommended Posts

I like the forecast today! Looking out my window right now, about 200 feet from the harbor's edge, I can see the very tops of the live oaks rustling just a bit. That means 3-5 knots, and it's from the N right now. Lots of sun and zero clouds, translation of which is: Seabreeze by noon alters gradiant for 10-15 of NE going E. That's pretty much money in the bank here, our sea breeze kicks ass. SSTemps are around 65-67 and bikini temps are MUCH hotter, meaning that the breeze is naturally drawn to our college girls.

Justin.TV stats came back, over 3500 people tuned in yesterday at some point, with a surprising number watching the racing on their iPhones, iPads, or other mobile devices. Who knew? Very cool anyway, and today we have a secret special guest that can help with not only the racing, but local history and cool stuff about the harbor, town, and the Tall Ship. And tomorrow we'll have another guest commentator; this one a round-the-world winning solo racer. This just keeps getting better!

Thanks again for checking us out, and a huge thanks to Harken and Layline for underwriting the bulk of this coverage. Please check out both their sites, and take the time to sign up for Harken's Facebook pageto show support for the great things they do for sailing.

Also please show support for Ocean Sailing Academy, Latis Yachting Solutions, and the US Melges 24 Class's "Road To Corpus" campaign, who also make our coverage possible. These are all valued sponsors and important contributors to a sport that we love, and a new way to present it to y'all. We also thank Layline for giving out a nice Henry Lloyd "BREEZE" vest and Atmosphere wicking shirt to two lucky winners yesterday, and we have more great prizes to dole out to intrepid viewers today, so be sure to watch OTWA from Day 2 of Charleston Race Week!

And here's the first HD Highlight Reel from our younguns at Starboard Tack Productions. Pretty good shit, and you can watch it in HD if ya like.

"Have not watched OTW for some time as the first few too much drinking and antics. I am all for fun but needs to be some professionalism and I have to say yesterday rocked. Did not make it into work till it was all done totally enjoyed every minute. Looking forward to the same today"

Gotta say, Clean and the team have really got it down now. Watched a bit of the Viper, M20 & M24 stuff live yesterday. Fantastic work, I really appreciate how hard it is, and you're now making it look easy.

Good Morning! This morning we just tried to go out to the offshore race course, but 4-5 ft swells do not mix well with a bunch of electronics! We will definitely be getting out there tomorrow, though, for you offshore followers. Heading in to cover the inshore courses today.

Be sure to check out our live coverage: http://www.sailinganarchy.com/otwa/2010/2010_charlestonraceweek.php

BTW-For what its worth, I thought that some of the early efforts at OTW were pretty sophomoric, but what I've seen this time tells me that you've really learned how to do it. Can't be easy and you all have my respect for what you've been able to accomplish.

Now if you could only get the Chameleons to sail faster.....

Great job guys, good to see our past Commodore on 'Firewater' having a good time with a couple of mentions in the coverage.

IF one were to drive-up for tomorrow and the all-nighter to follow, would there be room on the boat Clean?

I am dropping these at the bottom of all of the links cause I am too tired to see if Anybody put this out so I have no idea if anybody knew they had offshore coverage available all week. I never saw any link on the CRW front page and there are so many links on the yachtscoring page, I don't know if anyone really listened...or cared.
