Friend had a gear like this fall on his property in Northern Mi. 20 years later, he's talking to an air force commander and tells him about it. The guy looks at him and says, "we were looking for that for years." couldn't figure out what happened. It came from a B 52. I'm sure the landing was ugly eh?

Pink Floyd.  On the Ummagumma album, photo taken at Biggin Hill in the summer of 69.

They traveled with a fair bit more than that later!

That's Quebecois - sort of like judging the USA because of corn dogs at the Indiana State Fair

My first experience with poutine was in the early 1990's while living in Montreal. My last experience with poutine was in the 1990's in Montreal!

How many here  still have the album?

I do.

Me too. I used to take a lot of flak over that album back then.

"That's not music, that's mind sickness".

I did a fair bit of "told you so" a few years later when the smartasses finally caught up.

I've never tasted the shit.

I have spewed some very similar looking stuff after a night of hard drinking.

Better carry a little extra speed on landing....  Those fuckers are lucky to still be breathing.  I hope they make it back.

100% normal crew view for day-racing keelboats.  Dragon?

The yellow ducky is an excellent addition.

Dammit, I spent a lot of time pumping as a nipper in the Solent.

The pics were taken aboard the 6m Frenzy during a brisk double handed delivery ride back across the Sound to Shilshoe, I placed the ducky there as a joke for the pic.

Boomer connected me to Sockeye who Owned the 6m "Sockeye" who agreed to put me on as crew.....6m racing is a damn fine form of racing and I always had fun!

That must be that North Pacific Gyre everybody's talking about.

Actually, it was the "Flotilla" in Suttons Bay, MI. They had thousands of kayaks (I know they were shooting for 3000). Just a bit crowded for my taste.

Holy mackeral dere Andy! That's Amos, Andy and Kingfish! A show you'll never see on TV again.

IIRC where we lived in CT it was Saturday mornings, along with Ramah and Gungah, Sky King and The East Side Kids/ Bowery Boys.Amos and Andy.jpg
