      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

TEBOW DEMOTED TO 3RD STRING

Recommended Posts

Yet by game 6 he will be starting...

Edit I hear Dalton has stunk it up so far in camp...

Edit - I hear you pulled that out of your ass.

Try reading up on something before you try to rebut someone.

Nice showing by Tebow; one pick and more yards on the ground than in the air...again.

Tebow out gains both Sanchez and Dalton!,

And if they were running backs that would mean something....... :D

Yeah, and if Dalton and Sanchez played more than one quarter.

Tebow had more picks too. Of course Dalton had twice as many yards in the air (you know, that thing NFL QB's do? THROW the ball?) as Tebow.

Gradkowski out gained them both too; what does that mean?

And the Mudhens just won five in a row!

Toledo for the win! Go the Toledo!

Tebow channeling his inner Savior.

"This, really, is the root of my beef with Tebowmania: It has nothing to do with football," writes Devin Gordon. "It's a sales pitch -- a sensation built on evangelism, not ability, powered by people who see a chance to turn the NFL into the next front of the culture war. And now that culture war is coming to my team."

I had not heard of this before now. Terrible things await the Broncos.

Typical nonsense from a deluded pulpit pimp, he comes out with these gems pretty frequently. IMO, the scariest thing is that Robertson ran for President.

Even God can't make Tebow a starting QB. God is all powerful and all knowing but give the Big Guy in the sky a break, somethings are just too hard.

Ground Emerges as Tim Tebow's Favorite Target

Jets quarterback coach Matt Cavanaugh said Tebow had elevated his game this season, demonstrating increased confidence and the arm strength to launch the ball 40 to 60 yards, as well the accuracy to hit right between the numbers painted on the grass. Cavanaugh confirmed Tebow had improved mechanics and velocity and was capable of hitting the ground anywhere on the field.

Oh, man. This season could be ugly.

We should start a pool to guess his QB rating for any game in which he gets garbage time.

I have the first game he plays in as being 22.7.

Unless Sanchez gets injured or craters, Timmy won't get any QB time during the regular season - except for maybe trick plays. And in one preseason game Timmy got a rating of 18.2.

And so it begins the same smack talk as last preseason. We know what happened to or ton and Sanchez is half thqb or ton was/is.

Can this thread hit 200 pages?

If this thread hits 200 pages someone will have a trollgasm.

The problem is that Gator thinks this thread is about Tebow and football.

Well the title is "Tebow demoted to third string" that said it's really been about me baiting me and mocking you all making fun of me.

Fixed that for you.

In case you are confused BTW, this is what Quarterbacks do. RUNNING backs are the ones that run the ball further than they throw it.

So he posts a rating of 13.7 playing only in the second half, supposedly the best part of his game. What will it look like if you average in a weaker first half?

Carved up one fine defense, they did. It's kinda scary to think what kind of year they might have without all those three and outs.

Yeah, but Peyton Manning's yards after contact stats are pitifull. What good is a hall of fame qb that can't run a read option?.

Hey, I think it is entirely possible for Tebow to get 300 yds.

In a season.

rushing.

Is he getting more or fewer touches as the season progresses? I'll save you the trouble - he had 5 carries in Week 1 and 1 carry in Week 2. Hell, pretty soon, he may not even play.

The Jets coach believes Tebow is capable of throwing the ball.

http://www.newsday.com/sports/football/jets/questions-about-tim-tebow-get-on-rex-ryan-s-nerves-1.4012038

But Ryan's frustration with the line of questioning seemed to crop up only when the backup's name was mentioned. The coach, looking emotionally drained and exhausted Monday morning, reiterated what he's said all offseason about Tebow's ability: "I believe Tim can pass."

Tebow comes to town this weekend, for his team to pick up their spanking from the Dolphins. Poor Timmy. Locked in as a back up on Tony Sparano's Two-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dumb offense. Hee haw

Well we know Sanchez can't. 0-1 vs Tebow and last game 10-27 for 138 yards.

And a quarterback rating in that last game that was THREE TIMES HIGHER than Tebow's quarterback rating in either of the last two preseason games.

Back in the 80's the bucs would routinely go 4-0 in preseaon only to finish the regular season 2-14.

I have schooled you again!

Keeping the starters in when the other team has put in their second and third string players can make bad teams look good in the preseason. But that didn't happen in the games that Tebow played so poorly.

Tebow's playing makes "Good Rex / Bad Rex" Grossman look like the model of consistancy.

"IF" someone from DAGO were to watch a jet's game that was on the tube un-like last weeks charger game

a reasonable fan would expect to see neither Teblow nor Sanwitches on a bench at any time during the game

No those are too close in stats and talent

a reasonable person should rather expect to sea the too wannabies playing on something more like this

till the best man out-teeters the loser

1 & 2 spots shall remain open till the next draft or Ryan Leaf comes out to get sum Bar Tab coin ;)

Sol, trust me, never hitch a wagon to Tebow's imminent defeat, he'll find a way to win when counted out.

He's now in his element ... the chance to show the NY heathens the way to football salvation.

Seems like there are no reasonable jets fans here...

I'm a Jets fan.

And yes, Tebow should be given a chance. He'll take a bunch of snaps, run around the back field a lot, throw a bunch of wet socks, and miraculously find a way to win.

I tell ya, that dude must have photographs of Saint Christopher in a comprising position ... how else to explain the nonstop miracle parade with him?

And to think there are a lot of people who think Tebow still belongs in the NFL...

He does, just not as a QB. Tell him to stop being a cunt and learn how to be either a tight end or an H back.

and I'll bet $$$$$$$$$ that the Rexter wants nothing to do with the wildcat, it's all Sparano's.

Oh boy Sanchez 12-27 98 yards 1 int.

Reasonable jets fans will demand the beaching of Sanchez for Tebow...

So?

Cincinnati Bengals Comp Att Yds Pct Y/A Sack YdsL TD Int Rating Andy Dalton 20 31 244 64.5 7.9 0 0 2 1 96.7

That INT did take him below a 100 rating. Even scrambled in for a TD; apparently you think running ability has something to do with QB ability?

Most people expect them to be able to throw a pass that doesn't look like an airsick duck, too.

We agree Sanchez<Dalton

Dalton seems to get more yards in the air in a week than Tebow would get in a month last year.

Dalton > Tebow

One is starting, one is riding the pine while his coach figures out what to do with him. Eventually the fundamentalist howler monkeys that followed Tebow to Denver will start buying billboards for Ryan too. Might take longer though, since I'm sure media buys in metro NY are more expensive than in Denver.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Tebow play some Monday night against the Texans, they stand zero chance of winning that game and a scrambling QB gives Wade Phillips something else to work on. BTW, Wade is without a doubt the best DC in the league.

Rex Ryan and his brother are two of the worst. Beat down a coming even if they bring in Rocky Balboa.

Not well despite Sanchez throwing for less than 100 yards and throwing muliple interceptions Ryan insists on making the wrong decision. He will be out of a job and Sanchez too at the end of the year. Tebow has a winning record as a qb Sanchez not so much.

Tebow voted by his fellow players as "most overrated player in the NFL".

At least he's first in something.

Beat me to it.

By "a crushing margin". Ohhh, that's gonna leave a mark. Whoops, shouldn't say "Mark" in a thread about Tebow.

Tis a silly game, and he is a silly man, for playing a game at which he is not good, with a bunch of sweaty men, when he has a demonstrated skill at cutting the foreskin from little boys. What a waste. A silly waste.

Timmy went 1 for 1 and -1 yards passing. But, he rushed twice for -5 yards.

No doubt, he'll be starting somewhere, soon. Maybe in a pickup game back at Gainesville Community College.
