      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

"Sleek Apocalyptic Survival Sailboat"

Recommended Posts

Humph! I remember it being on J dock, always wondered where she went.

It was a pretty interesting boat that I wished I'd had the chance to ride on just to see how well it worked.

He is dressed about right for bodega bay... I was stationed there back in the late 90's. For only beig 40-50 miles up the coast from san Francisco it a whole other world! I gotta know how it ended up there of all places at spud point? That place might have two or three other sail boats there max

I actually think it is kinda cool....but suggesting, even indirectly it'd outlast a mac26 in the apocolypse is a bit fucking ridiculous

I always wondered about this boat. It was at Port Orchard for a while a few years ago. Actually saw it unroll the sail once. Wondered how it sailed.

Definitely like my boats apocalyptic, mainly for the intimidation factor at mark roundings and tight anchorages.

I've already claimed Tangier Island to re-colonize. You're welcome to visit though.

It's hard to recycle carbon/Kevlar/epoxy.

Still 47 foot long, with a new power plant installed - for 27K - unless the thing is delaminating like crazy or has a soggy core, even as a launch she seems like a bargain - (disclaimer aforementioned statements made under duress of no coffee and 4 hours sleep)

I guess it would depend on the actual hull (lines, etc) and if you were confident of getting a second hand rig at a good price and had the appropriate structure for a step, partners, etc.
