      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

"#njsandy Have you seen this boat? Raymond Smith requests your assistance: "My boat was swept away during the storm surge. If anyone has found it, seen it, or pieces of it, please contact me. The boat has sentimental value...my daughter and I built it 5 years ago, and we have so many memories piloting it in the bay and the Toms River. Thanks! Raymond 201-655-4717""

Jesus, have a heart. A guy steps up and builds a boat with his daughter and takes it out on the water for fun, and has fond memories. Not a lot of money involved. Boat goes missing in an enormous storm and he wants it back. The purpose of only making fun of him is . . . . . . . . . .

An electric outboard a couple of beers on the bow, does life get any better. Hope he had insurance.

If he took his daughter out caught a fish or two it is all good times. Hope it works out for him.

'"Hey kid. The first boat was great. Let's build another"

Just sayin'

Maybe it's gone/ Maybe not.

healing involves moving on and if you had fun with teh first one. building another is a no brainer.

No matter what It pains me you and so many more lost so much. I don't even want to try to comprehend how awful it was and still is.

Good luck getting your boat back. If you don't find it you should pick up a damaged boat to restore as your next project.
