      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

wholy s... that thing is overweight and underpowered - and it is clear from the pics that it digs quite the hole in the ocean. I am not actually sure it actually sure it doesn't belong in the sportboat anarchy SA/D upwind @26 and downwind @63 - no dice)

we use SA/D upwind + SA/D downwind >= 105 as our definition of sportboat

Wow! I had seen the A27 brochure online and liked the concept. Only now did I note the displacement - very heavy for a 27 foot boat! Our J/27 has a displacement nearly 1000 lbs lighter and was designed a long time ago when there were not the same technologies available that there are today

Like the idea of this boat though. MAke it 1500 lbs lighter and then we can talk - but keep the interior and the inboard - I like those!

My general cutoff is 35+ up and 100+ down as well as disp/length well under a hundred

This one is a total porker..........

I like the looks of the boat, the aft hull flare, windows, cockpit layout, wide side decks and cockpit line console, but you are right about the displacement. I would have expected a number closer to 3200 lbs

Actually - to be an exciting sportboat it should get down closer to 2000 lb and more than half in the bulb - and get a bigger kite
