      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

Since this actually happened in 2013, its still appropriate. And likely a portent of things to come......

You heard it here first. Virginia Tech over the two time defending national champions in the first game of the season....24-21

Bwahahaha. Good one.

Gonna be just like the last opener I saw Bama and Tech play a couple years ago, ending in tears for Tech.

Chris "Time to die, Bitch" Rainey scored another assault arrest involving his girlfriend, and was cut by the Steelers.

I told my brother I hope the Redskins get him, since it would be for the minimum, and he is basically a slightly faster less shifty Percy Harvin with superior woman beating skills. At the very least he could keep all the other players bitches in order for us.

Percy harvin has way faster football speed. I saw Rainey get caught on longer runs that never happens to Percy

That's just because Rainey stopped in route to smack a bitch.

The magical Nick Saban running back copying machine.

It really is amazing. I know all those guys think they're the best and thus need not worry about competing for playing time, but damn! They'll have 5 star prospects in the scout team backfield. It's reminiscent of the old days when the big teams could give scholarships to boys they knew would never play just to keep them from going elsewhere.

I think the most interesting recruiting development I've seen in a while is Vandy Baseball. From what I can glean from the alumni mailings (addressed to Mrs. Razorback, certainly not me) and the recruiting results, they've got a big endowment that allows them to offer basically full rides (and that ain't a cheap ride!) to most of their team through a combination of athletic, academic, and need based assistance. Most other baseball programs are splitting up I think 11 scholarships between everybody, and a full ride at Vandy is so valuable that they are actually keeping a lot of MLB draftees that the public schools lose. I'm not complaining, as they are our secondary team. But you gotta admit that using academic superiority to assemble a top-level SEC athletic team is novel!

I think what bama is selling these guys is that RB is the shortest duration career in the NFL (3.5 years avg.) Why take hundreds of hits for free in the NCAA? If you're good enough you'll have more than enough opportunity to showcase your talent in our program

That, and they tell them "We will get you Paaaaaaiiiiddd in the NFL".

And all the bitches you can assault and impregnate. Not necessarily in that order.

Sounds good, where do I sign up?

That's very astute, and you're right, the Combine now rules the RB draft.

When you turn off your internal gator machine you're a smart guy.

My once ubiquitous optimism has been replaced by a feeling of dread that a Cubs fan would recognize which consumes me every time I see the words "Arkansas Razorbacks" in a headline.

Hopes are high for the baseball team, however.

God help 'em.

South Plantation HS. Art will be so proud.

Art will be thinking of how to turn this into getting laid somehow someway.

This is true. In other news, hats off to the Vols for bringing us the first National Signing Day Lingerie Model.

And UCLA scores a better class than U$C. Fantastic.

Yup U$C's class was pathetic everyone even F$U poached it.

Meanwhile the SEC had ALL of it's 14 teams ranked in the top 40. Including Kentucky! By way of comparison the next best performance was the ACC with 6.

Take note wolfy...

Wants him at UM so she can go to games. Smart move on the kid's part (and good on his dad for signing the papers). Why go to a school that is going to be on probation, when he already has a life sentence of sorts....

While noble that she wants to be there for her son by attending games, really she wants the fucking perks from being associated with him around town. She's watching her meal ticket bolt.

Man thats good stuff. Tried it about 3 years ago and it was way way way stronger than the stuff when i was attending. They should make that legal.

Meanwhile at U$C more serious crime is afoot..

She hired the Johnny Cochran firm.

It just keeps getting better. No Pig Soooie!

Ah, but Johnnie's dead and the dad signed the ticket. Please reinstate the "Wooooo".

No wonder that boy wanted out of there. That bitch is nuts. Surprised he stayed in the conference. Arkansas was probably the most obscure place he could think of.

Told ya it would all work out RB. The kid actually from all accounts was pretty much set on getting away and forging a good path for himself. I think you fellas scored a good kid along with a good athlete. I will be pulling for him for sure.

Just not against the Tide...

Literally the best part of Reuben Foster is he showed up to sign in Nick Saban's outfit. I rank the fugitive dad #2 and the Auburn tattoo #3.

That's a hell of a lot of awesome oddness in one recruit. I think that's what ESPN based Alabama's recruiting class ranking on actually.

Yep, looks to be a likable kid & a good player. Now if we can get about 40 more of those, we'll be in business.

Glad to see Bama is getting on the weirdness. Keeps it from getting boring.

Glad to see weirdness happening somewhere other than Gainesville. In other news, now that I live an hour away, this might be the first season in many decades that I am a season ticket holder. Sitting on the west side with the old farts won't be quite the same, methinks.

Woah ... Sean White possible for Wake Forest ...

http://oldnorthbante...fer-sean-white/

yeah right.. this should be a big clue..

White camped at Notre Dame, Miami, and Wisconsin in the summer,

Until it's official, he's a possible Demon Deacon.

What pleasure could you have in taking that away from me for my brief few days or weeks?

I'm gonna delete this topic if there's anymore mention of something as irrelevant as Wake Forest football.

Do you really want to screw with Deacons who have acquired the power of demons?

Until that first kickoff, my beloved Wake Forest is relevant. (Of course, after that their slide to irrelevance will be somewhat assured. )

National champs to chumps...stay classy Bama...

Is Nick not feeding them...they used a stolen credit card to buy snacks from vending machines...

i already posted the story chump...

The fact that I am even less likely to follow one of your links than I would pay attention to your inane drivel would explain why I had not noticed this...

I missed this the first time around. As a Vandy grad I'm pleased that they are starting to get some decent players who can do math well enough to understand the value of a $250K education. Hell it's even working (a little) on the football team which has risen from dismal to third tier.

That being said, Go Tigers! Yea Sewanee's Right!

Yeah your boys are a little removed from their days of glory...

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1899_Sewanee_Tigers_football_team

"Their 1899 football team had perhaps the best season in college football history, winning all 12 of their games, 11 by shutout, and outscoring their opponents 332-10. Five of those wins came in a six-day period while on a 2,500-mile trip by train"

Believe me, it's talked about like it was 1999 not 1899 when you are up there. My daughter goes there. I went to Vandy. I absolutely love Sewanee (AKA The University of the South) You have to love the Corinthian Spirit that is alive and well in D3. Hell, Sewanee's not even any good at that level. But you've got to love that those are real scholars that suit up and play football every Saturday. There are probably high schools that have better talent, but you won't find a finer bunch of kids anywhere

BIL and niece both alumni, he worked/lived there for a number of years...drop dead gorgeous country up there on the Cumberland Plateau...am told that the campus' 13,000 acres makes it the biggest campus in the country...am fully aware that 1899's glory seems like it happened just yesterday...
