      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

Thankyou dude. We were hitting the late 16s

The wave height was pretty big at times, the fish eye lense of the go pro really iron them out. I have a few short clips on my ipad which give a much more accurate impression. My best friend Sam on board is from Jersey and had done the channel many times, so it was great to have him, did saywhilst climbing out the hatch "look at the size of that wave" in a humbling tone. We all agreed when we were back on shore that they were the biggest we had ever seen, but that said, it was far more comfortable than what we sore in the golf du lion. We were hammerd there.

The cool thing is theres more footage of that stom in biscay as we were in lisbon at the same time as the 2012 volvo ocean race. We left the day before they left for thier leg 8. lisbon rounding the azores and crossing biscay to finish in Lorient.

We the day before they started and headed up to A Corunia, then they started and completed in four days entering biscay on thier day 3, day four of our trip so they crossed only just north of us according to our log and arrived due to being rapid! Quite some time before we got to falmouth.

The video is here

and its sick!

Another few clips of a storm with smaller waives but shot with my poor I pad which doesn’t iron out the sea as much, of course with both videos its more the beginning and end of the weather system. This one we had to climb for 2 days before we could crack off for Palma and this is where we most all of our (entirely electrical) problems as it was first trip of the season. After arriving in Palma it was up wind or no wind all the way to Biscay. Bummer
