      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

Fancy racing in the Caribbean 600 2014??, Heineken? St Barths?...have

Recommended Posts

My mate Steve and I have owned 'Triple Jack' for the last 21 years.

We are based in the BVI's.

Over the years we have carried out a bewlidering array of modifications which have all been about making her faster, stronger and more nimble.

'Triple Jack' was designed by Derek Kelsall and built by Frank Woods,

She raced the 1980 'Twostar' and the 1981 'Round Britain and Ireland'

More recently we have won the Heineken a couple of times over the last 14 years and have only once been off the podium

We can sustain over 20kts and can average high teens.

There's only a couple of gunboat 66's that can take us, one being 'Elvis' at this year's Heineken.

So what is all this about?

Well, we are looking for a team who want to set up a race programme over the next few years.

We supply the boat, you supply the sails.

Nanny Cay furnished us with a gorgeous set of Quantums 7 yrs ago.

The carbon main blew out last year at the Heineken, the jib is not far behind.

We have a couple of OK kites but sorely need a furling 'A' sail.

What's the catch?

2 crew drawn from Steve, myself or another long term TJ hand have to be on board.

You show up with the team, we practice, race and party.

You go home and we get set for the next event.

Repeat until the sails wear out!

If it is the Caribbean 600 you are interested in there may be a bit more to it than sails alone.

Just details!
