First no handed Transpac!?

Could this be the first no handed Transpac? Saildrone is homing in on Hawaii. Check it out at www.saildrone.com

Some cool vids.

I expect that you will catch some flak here, but I think it's cool. Carry on.

I saw the Scout project. Good effort but it died a few weeks ago!

They have a back up tracker so you can see where it is drifting. Will be interesting to see where it ends up.

Have seen the Saildrone around for a while around the SF Bay Area. All wind power, no motor.

Speaking of Durgs, you're smoking crack if you don't think these things are Military Funded.

Saildrone isn't. In fact, it would be great if a someone with $ would invest

a bit of cash into this shoestring project... 4 guys, a big shed and some great ideas.

That's quite funny Thumper! Maybe you should edit your profile interests and swap innovation for cynicism!

Good job Saildrone team. Only 300 miles to go I see! Very cool.

Does Saildrone jibe itself, or is there someone behind the curtain pulling the strings? The final approach to Hawaii is causing a lot of maneuvers. It doesn't seem for the purposes of speed? Interesting to see this test succeed.
