      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

So how come Germany isn't broke too?

Spain had a pattern of bad investment decisions, especially over-development of property, especially in Valencia, of which AC32 was an example. Castellon airport http://www.airportwatch.org.uk/?p=2872 is an even more egregious case.

The Germans don't sleep all day.

Is there a German word for Siesta?

Logical and precise but was hoping for a much longer German word?

Hopefully some of the Valencia investments will still prove worthwhile in the long run.

O.k., completely OT now, but since there are not too many news (except that there's the scoop that Nico will enter the VOR with a Danish team, yeah!), here you go:

this event is only a failure in LE and Russells Eyes if the lose it.

the previous 4 pages of absolute bullshit means nothing to LE and RC.

their objectives are...

1. to retain the cup

2. to market lE's brand along the way

3. for the "Brand" to appeal to the market... which is not the general public nor the sailing public....but the upper echelon rich/elite and socialites... along with the sponsors.... his

4. for the event to be held in a venue that is supported by the city and subsidezed well by that city.

5. for there to be at least one challenger.....

for allm you tossers whom say this event will fail.... what horse shit! if a challenger turns up and a event is run.... and LE/RC/oracle win then it is a 100% success.

if it was your event/business to run, and considering all the reg's and constraints..., WHAT THE FUCK WOULD YOU GUYS DO???...

Fuck all I bet!.... its way out of your league..... which is why you all post such dribble here....

dreamers the whole lot of you!!

Hineininterpretierung is good and very appropriate. Sorry about the poppies, maybe they make a statement about the anniversary?

On a lighter note, the other day I talked to a Brasilian colleague, who made the funny statement that it always sounds like a big argument when Germans talk. As an example he cited "Setz Dich hin und iss Dein Frühstück." No, it's no a declaration of war, it means "Sit down and eat your breakfast."

By the way, any news on the venue, Coutts' tax declaration, the latest marketing coup?
