A boat that won all races in the late 70s that everyone older than 45 today will swoon over?

It was a Peterson 2 tonner - was last named "Sassy's Lee" and participated in the Canada's Cup Defender Trials in the 70's. Was owned by Dutch Schmidt, owner of the famous Holland 78 Sassy. If I recall correctly (been a while since it was relayed), there is a story behind how Sassy's Lee was notified (some say prematurely) she would not be selected as the Defender.

Whatever it is, it's incorrectly registered.

USA is not a valid Hailing Port - and the vessel isn't in the database.

Likely not CG registered, but uses State tags.

A winch farm.

Who started that meme and when? Where's Bill Safire when we need him?

The super long nettles on the main reef points look a bit gauche.

Sassie = "Lassie" - won't point, won't fetch...something else I forget...anyone?

Won't run either. Well if she does, one of her legs falls off, and over she goes.....
