      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

Calexit: California becoming own nation

Recommended Posts

Fuck Trump, who needs him! The end of the United States of America

Make that 49 states ... great idea.

"In the Spring of 2019, Californians will go to the polls in a historic vote to decide by referendum if California should exit the Union, a #Calexit vote."

"As the sixth largest economy in the world, California is more economically powerful than France and has a population larger than Poland. Point by point, California compares and competes with countries, not just the 49 other states.”

"The Golden State could become the Golden Nation if an independence referendum gets passed. Emboldened by California’s strong economy and high population, the so-called “Calexit” could gain traction following the election of Donald Trump.

California could become an independent country in 2019 when voters hit the polls again. The Yes California Independence Campaign believes that “being a US state is no longer serving California’s best interests” and thinks that California would be better suited making its own immigration laws."

Where would SoCal get their water? I'm sure those upstream would gladly quit letting them suck off the Colorado river.

Who do you think supplies the porn to Utah? The water will flow.

The condom initiative failed tho. What deranged nuts thought to put that in the ballot?

Let em go - it's a pretty place (well, West of the mountain) with some really cool people, the majority of which, unfortunately, feel themselves to be so much better informed that the rest of the country should be glad that they are willing to share their intelligent largesse by way of unduly controlling national elections and policy.

I'm sure borders will remain open, and the tariffs on manufactured goods can be offset against the exports on walnuts onions and tomatoes.

Maybe withot EPA bothers, they can repeat the Tonopah site across all of the southern half if Death Valley. There's not much to lose in Trona anyway.

Superlooo, free charing stations for the Tesla micro cars - and best yet - they can then keep out anyone who ever voted against a D candidate, and not be forced to deal with people who think differently than they do.

Win win all around?

(CAN'T do sarcasm font on my cell, sorry)

Nations need a military and it would be such a delight seeing Californiass break down and buy F35's

LOL, At least California's Skunk Works can build a plane that works.

I imagine whatever comes out of the SW would crush an F35. Like a Tacoma going head to head with a Ridgeline.

Speaking to the choir here. But most of the marketing and bundling is done in the Valley. They still swing a pretty big dick in the industry.

Describe Skunk Works' last success.

Take away Federal funds and access to US classified data and Skunks Works will be in Fort Worth in about 10 minutes. Palmdale to Lone pine will become empty desert again and there will be cheap land on the south side of LAX when NG and Raytheon pack up and move east.

You will finally have an alternate airport to San Diego when the Navy leaves NI.

California should be broken up into smaller states. The interests of cities like SF and LA do not represent the state as a whole. I'm all for the great state of Southern California. counties of San Diego, Imperial, Riverside and Orange.

Texas too. In fact, if my history doesn't fail me, Texas was setup to be 5 states before it was negotiated to be one big state.

The biggest challenge we face in making Trump parody porn, is finding a male actor that isn't repulsive to the viewer. He has to have the weird comb-over, orange complexion and small hands. Not something people like to rub one out to no matter how hot the chicks are.

Free trade morons. You think other states would boycott a huge market?

No need to boycott but we could demand market prices and all the environmental costs of damming western rivers and stuff like that.

There is a lot of space that would open up for agriculture in nearby states so it's not like we need your produce although I don't know what all the pickers will do when their papers get checked at the US border.

Or

California simply would not survive without regular, unimpeded trade with the US - except now that it's an independent nation, its exports can be subjected to tariffs that they weren't as a State

Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii would reap the benefits of majorly increased defense spending unless California worked out some sort of sharing/leasing deal with the US to allow it to maintain its military bases - though I suppose the US could just as easily say, "We've already bought this land from you. Either you buy it back from us first, or you deal with it."

How big is their economy when you remove the 2,000,000 federal jobs? How big is it when 32 US military bases all close and ruin the local economies of 28 or so communities that thrive due to those bases? What happens to the defense contractors? I'm sure the American government would rather buy from American businesses... oh yeah and then there is that thing about the water. Yes I will miss the avocados.

Container ships are now built too big for Panama. Even after the expansion they will get built too big once again.

It's moot anyway - once Trump throws up tariff walls and China et. al retaliate there won't be much shipping either way.

Texas needs to be given back to Mexico. Oklahoma, Lose-iana, New Mexico, and that lil' bit of Arkansas would be easier to border control from outside Texas than Texans trying to border control Mexico. It's like watching Shreiff Roscoe P. Coltrane try to border control the Duke boys.

#Calexit secession effort begins signature gathering to be on California ballot

Supporters of Californian independence have taken the first real step towards secession from the US, submitting a ballot proposal to the state attorney general. Should the option garner enough support, 'Calexit' might become an issue.

A group called ‘Yes California Independence Campaign’ filed their proposal with the attorney general’s office, asking to “prepare a circulating title and summary of the enclosed ballot measure: "Calexit: The California Independence Plebiscite of 2019.”

Secession supporters want to repeal the California Constitution’s wording as well as offer a “yes/no” question on California’s independence.

“In the Spring of 2019, Californians will go to the polls in a historic vote to decide by referendum if California should exit the Union, a #Calexit vote,” the group said on its website.
