      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

Holder 20 GPX (turbo)

Recommended Posts

So I have been fiddling with my Holder 20, fixing some things and adding others

I am adding the ability to use Melges 20 and Santana 20 sails

I have fabricated a new masthead crane and am waiting on a flicker to arrive

I built a traveler support beam that is almost complete

When done I will be able to fly a masthead spinnaker, a stock spinnaker and

a santana 20 spinnaker (midway between masthead and stock location)

I also plan to add to tech rope stays from near masthead to support the mast

when running larger sails

I am calling it a GPX as I think a Gp and an X version exist already

Comments and suggestions are welcome and appreciated

I have attached the requisite photos below

The 20X is coming along nicely and the asym is way more stable than a sym. Since I came up with the GP and X monikers, Rod, how bout you call it a 20T?

See you at Spud Cup, Varan. We'll have a couple of 20X's there.

20T is good, I wanted to give your mod's their do

how long is your sprit ?

Viper 630 Assy ?

Have you done anything with the keel yet ?

I have an old Melges 20 main, it seems pretty big (LOL)

I will be careful with it.....at least at first

Have you finalized a rudder profile ?

Sorry for so many questions, but you know WAY more than me about this boat

I plan on chasing J22s around this summer

Thanks,

Rod

Snap, still doing spud? Next year I am hoping to try a NW20 fleet again, with local additions of a FE 23, Seascape 18, Melges 20, another U20, plus the usual suspects.

Cheers,

Nope. I'm tied up all September with 6 meter World's in Vancouver. Next year with a NW20 fleet sounds like a plan.
