With all that money, and all of the beautiful boats in the world for inspiration, that's what gets ordered. It's look like someone wants an "alternative rigged" Mac in XXL.

That's the "designed to look like a swan" thingy?  (not "Swan", no, not by a long shot).

Lack of beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Winner of the Ugly Boat contest..."there is no second".

A friend of mine was mistakenly "credited" in a publication as the designer. He immediately called and told them he had nothing to do with that thing and never mention his name in connection with that "thing" again.

I think I liked this site better about a decade and a half ago, when the editor produced the "Mexifornia" meme.  At least it was straightforward, authentic nastiness and racism, not some unfunny, contrived joke by politically correct demand.

They need a little more vang on the mizzen, I think.  And why aren't they hiking?

The reportedly $400M+, 143 meter / 468 ft monster sails. A little ungainly...but the largest sailboat ever?

It looks ridiculous, and yes, more mizzen vang would make it look ridiculous with slightly better sail shape.

Maybe it had a touch too much weather helm so they're going easy on the mizzen

Or they're trying for a little self steer to go easy on the autopilot

Absolutely pathetic. I would take a beat up J22 any day over that piece of capitalist/kleptocracy/oligarchical shit. It will end up in a landfill before you know it.

The bow (and middle and stern) should fall off--outside the environment

Making a lot of fuss at the bow for not much apparent speed. That POS will never achieve first mode, let alone fourth.

It was under motor too right? Sailz just 4 fun/looks + "increased efficiency"?

Guess they paid off the impound charges to leave Gibraltar - or they have really good lawyers.

God Bless Presdient Trump.  If we are lucky, the next terrorist attack will hit Scot the Editor and his empathetic ilk on PA.  Disrespectful Liberal assholes.

Bless him while you can, he'll be impeached soon, very, very soon.

Not only fugly, but slow. First half of video looks like they're running the motors even.

Slack sail trim may be simply to keep the lime in the cocktail.  Or it may be a serious worry about metacentric height calculations.

I would not deliver this thing across an ocean (or even across the Med) for a metric fistful of fivers.

She has always been described as 'sail assisted' not as a 'sailboat'.

I know the thing is a total joke but I highly doubt they're sweating their math.

You'd be surprised.  I helped deliver the motoryacht Nabila (later Trump Princess) back in the day, and we nearly lost it near arrival one dark windy night after burning 80% of fuel. It suddenly heeled over and attained a permanent 40° angle of loll. Frightful problems getting it back on an even keel, pumping seawater into empty fuel tanks in complete darkness below, with everything sliding and crashing across the decks, including us.

I do hope (and expect) that modern yachts have a proper ship's manual to avoid this sort of stuff now.
