      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

Tuesdays with TFE: This week's live guest – Alan Block aka 'Mr Clean,' deputy editor of Sailing Anarchy

2017-09-26 | TOM EHMAN

SAN FRANCISCO – Again this week Tuesdays with TFE will air live at 1300 PDT / 1600 EDT / 2200 CET / 0800 NZT. This later time allows our many Kiwi fans to watch at a decent hour during their Wednesday morning. As always you can watch live on any phone, tablet or computer at facebook.com/sailingillustratedblog. Facebook account not required, and the livestream is free. Just sign on like any other webpage. If you cannot watch it live, as always a replay will be available afterwards here on Sailing Illustrated as well as on our SI Facebook page.

This week's live guest is Alan Block (USA). our longtime sailing friend and fellow Michigander who is deputy editor of Sailing Anarchy. We'll discuss the latest Volvo Ocean Race news including Mark Turner's departure as CEO announced overnight, previewing the release of the AC36 Protocol coming this Thursday (Friday morning NZ time), and more. As always we'll be taking your questions. Post them in the comments section on the SI Facebook Page during our live show, and our coordinating producer Julia Wedekind will relay them to us.

Today I will also be featuring last weekend's 6mR Worlds at Royal Vancouver YC,  the USA's National Sailing Hall of Fame induction at New York YC in Newport, RI last weekend,  and the Etchells Worlds taking place over at San Francisco YC this week.

As much different as they are, the interplay between TE and Clean still worked well enough in that webcast even if the other (non-AC) subjects, perhaps necessarily for now, were the best parts.

So it looks like Torbjorn and Artemis Racing will boycott the AC according to TE.

TE likes the sound of his own voice (& journo's have very limited sources ATM) - he pontificated on LE's involvement one day and contradicted himself 2 days later - i.e.  WAG'ing

Hasn't been in the loop in a long time.

The loop has been a flatline for a long time

The interview was an easy listen

Far better than watching news or following most media

Clean has come a long way

Glad to know them both !!
