Now we get to finally see what the AM design looks likes.

Enough stupid jokes about the test platform they used for B1.  It just was a simple hull to use for testing and training.

Probably less to do with “disguise” and more to do with protection. Given the boats are being launched in NZ and not in their home countries, coupled with Covid restrictions, No ones gonna come out to see the launch anyway except the teams themselves. Maybe a a team morale thing psychologically, holding onto the thought that they maybe onto something the other teams haven’t thought of, but that’s about it. No ones changing hull shapes now.

Much like the profile you see there... moreso than what could be made out of INEOS B2...

So here are AM and UK under wrap (AM is at a slight angle).  You can clearly see part of the name Britannia and the bowsprit on the UK boat.  Both look to have much more slope or curvature to the undersides of the hull, no more flat and wide bottoms.  AM looks much shallower in the stern and must have moved the crew more towards the mast.  UK still seems to have some flat sides on the hull, just not as high as before, but they look to still be using the "wind tunnel" effect.  As other have said, The top of AM look like an airplane wing.

in reality with the fixed position of the foil arm axis, min/max hull width and MRP these boats may look different but aren't actually

I'm under the thinking that AM's B2 topsides are more like ETNZ/LR but not going to draw a conclusion with the undersides ... they have done a good job with the wrapping when you look at the aft cradle its sitting on

Maybe around the midships area, Fish. But B2 seems to have retained that flat run aft to her transom. Te Kahu carries quite a bit of deadrise through from her mid sections through to her stern by comparison, IMO.

A wouldn't be surprised if there is a bit of a bustle under wraps, where the aft cradle is - stretching out into a flatish run aft.

Can not find any good square side-on views of Te Kahu for comparison, just throw in a couple of pics for interest, can't wait to see everyone's B2 unwrapped.

MWP +100 is in the rules as the lowest the deck can be

ive put the stick people in as 1800mm and guessimated the while hull lines

here are a couple of guesses

Those white hull lines have got to be wrong.  They can't have a "tri-hull" shape with the bottom of the hull rising back up like that.

in the vicinity of the foil cant attachment there is an exemption

Hawk has similar 'trihull blisters'

i have seen her many times on the hard .. from that angle she doesn't look her best

but i still am awed by her beauty and would love to see her afloat again

So that would be,  leaving HNL 25 hours from now, arriving AKL 10.5 hours from now. That would be warp speed.

Has to be shrink wrap with added team logo. Gotta get the word out!

We'll know soon enough when they roll her down the ramp at Jean Batten Field. I should note parenthetically that only Auckland Airport's International Terminal is officially named after our most famous aviatrix!

I'm skeptical, a significant portion of the aero drag for these boats is the hull underside. The bustle features frustrate any effort to streamline this from the frame of reference of the apparent wind under the hull, but Te Kahus sharp lines would likely fare very badly in that regard.
