      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

The Musto gear hasn't been much better either since they were sold out a few years ago.

I've had a minor failure of my HPX boots, but besides that they've proven way more durable for me. Been considering getting Zhik next because of all the hype though.

Its the sizing that seems to have changed a lot, and a lot of zip failures

Well, good zippers and fabric are expensive. Makes it tough to hit those EBITDA goals.

Maybe the service level in the US will be bettered by this - hope so as it right now it is far below what it used to be and lags other brands; which is sad for the best gear available

I have been using Musto since 1983 when I went to work for Horizon Sails in South Norwalk, CT..  I have tried other brands along the way and find myself returning to Musto. They have never failed me and now that I am back in the Philippines I still get great online service and have even returned item despite ordering the wrong size in exchange for the right size. Personally, I love the product, and I have never been let down by the staff at Musto.

One less player in the market is usually not a good thing for the costumers (us).

Musto have been a sponsor and supplier to the Whitbread/VOR for a trillion years. However Zhik's product line and quality is now starting to leave the traditional suppliers behind. It is no coincidence their gear has now appeared on Dongfeng and AkzoNobel for the current VOR edition, even though Musto remains a key race sponsor.
