      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

I know that is the talking point - in reality, as a non-profit  - IF you run elections, to pick that candidate you have to follow federal and State election law and rules.

They certainly can go back to smoke filled rooms, if the DNC rules are changed to eliminate elections.

And, once again, you deliberately ignore the point hoping no-one notices your tangent.

Regardless of the laws that have been applied - they are still private clubs. How they choose their representatives is still up to them and their chosen bylaws. They can hold an election (upholding all relevant state & federal election laws), collate and examine the results, and go "Hmmm, that's interesting" choosing someone not on the ballot in a smoke-filled backroom if they like.

But hey, if you think the fact they have to uphold laws is a relevant point despite no-one arguing otherwise, fill your boots.

The DNC has been that highschool clique that strut around with their nose up and with the attitude they're better than everyone else.

That's how the ultra-insecure kid at school would see it.  You know the type - quiet, angry, and looking for his parents guns and a few boxes of ammo.

You in therapy, RB?

So you are saying the DNC doesn’t have to adhere to federal laws pertaining to public organizations?

The DNC is not a public organization.

I am saying exactly what I wrote. If it's not something you can quote me saying, it's not something I am saying. You know how that works right?

"But the rules do not give that power solely to the chairwoman of the party. That decision is ultimately made by the D.N.C. after consultation with Democratic leaders in Congress and Democratic governors."

Oklahoma elects a Democrat? WTF!

OKLAHOMA CITY — Democrats have flipped another statehouse seat in deeply conservative Oklahoma amid growing frustration over years of state budget shortfalls and recent scandals that led to the resignation of Republican incumbents.

Democrat Allison Ikley-Freeman defeated Republican Brian O’Hara in Tuesday’s special election for a state Senate seat representing parts of Tulsa. Complete but unofficial election results show that Ikley-Freeman, who is a therapist at a nonprofit mental health agency, won by 31 votes.
