On Obamacare -

On abortion -

"I fully support a woman's freedom to choose to what happens to her own body," Jones said. "Having said that, the law for decades has been that late-term procedures are generally restricted except in the case of medical necessity. That's what I support. I don't see any changes in that."

On minimum wage -

Jones also says he would vote for raising the federal minimum wage – currently at $7.25 an hour – to somewhere above $10 an hour. He declined to commit to a specific level, saying that the target level could go up or down depending on the economic circumstances in an area.

On immigration -

I support the DACA program and would support the DREAM Act or similar legislation to ensure young people brought here as children who have never known any other nation can remain in the United States. Children and young adults in the DACA program are contributing members of our society, serving in the military and owning businesses that employ Americans. More than 109,000 of the DACA participants served in the military and naturalized as citizens as of 2015. In 2016 alone, 359 DACA recipients enlisted in the U.S. Army. DACA participants must maintain clean records and pass background checks and are not threats - simply the product of their parents and grandparents seeking to give them a better life.

Crazy talk.

Please refrain from trying to muddy the conversation with actual positions held by the candidate.

It is far easier to demonize the opposition if you distill their positions down to a few of the talking points you've been given.

Correct.

That's why Republican voters never listen to the candidates themselves. Everybody knows candidates lie! Republicans go to a an info source they like and trust (to reinforce their prejudices) such as Hannity, Limbaugh, etc etc. These guys know what everybody else is really thinking, just ask them.

According to sources in the White House, President Trump will not campaign for Roy Moore.

It is a sad commentary when we acknowledge the POTUS will not help an alleged child molester.

Strange days, indeed.

And in the end Moore wins comfortably.  You have to admire the left they have such a flexible spine.

An oft heard progressive lament asks why is America so Redneck Hickish? Why can't we be more like those sophisticated progressive europeans?

Feds Use James O’Keefe Video In Felony Trial Of Trump Inauguration Protesters
A video from the “ultraconservative” Project Veritas could play a key role in the ongoing felony trial of six arrested at inauguration demonstrations.

By Ryan J. Reilly

Conservative undercover journalist James O’Keefe’s organization produced a video of a protest planning meeting that was shown in court Tuesday.

WASHINGTON ― A Justice Department prosecutor pursuing felony convictions for six of the hundreds of individuals arrested during
President Donald Trump’s inauguration successfully introduced to a jury on Tuesday a video of a protest planning meeting that was secretly recorded by a controversial organization run by conservative activist James O’Keefe.

The video, shot by an affiliate of O’Keefe’s Project Veritas, shows a Jan. 8 meeting in a church basement in northwest Washington. It was shown to the jury during Tuesday’s testimony of Officer Bryan Adelmeyer of the Metropolitan Police Department, who went undercover to suss out protesters’ plans for Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20.

The Project Veritas video may play a key role in a trial that could determine the fate of an additional 181 defendants still facing trials on several felony counts over the course of the next year. More than 200 people, including numerous journalists, were arrested en masse after windows were smashed in downtown Washington before the inauguration. One defendant pleaded guilty to felony rioting charges, and 19 others have pleaded guilty to misdemeanor counts. Seven additional defendants who initially faced felonies are now scheduled to face trial on misdemeanor charges next month.

A total of 187 defendants, including the six currently on trial, have pending felony charges, with prosecutors alleging they were part of a conspiracy that resulted in extensive property damage and should therefore be held responsible for the actions of the other individuals they were arrested with. So far, prosecutors have not alleged that any of the six defendants on trial individually caused any destruction but instead argued that they enabled those who did. One of the defendants is a photographer who had taken an interest in covering demonstrations throughout the United States.

New sock, still same incapability to read. Nicole Belloubet said it was worth consideration and has earned the derision of left wing organisations as a result. The French government actually doesn't have a position on the matter. If they choose to say 13 is a legal age and 'the left' accepts that as OK, feel free to crow about it then.

The only flexibility you're demonstrating is your own... and it is truly remarkable how far up your own ass you manage to get your head.

You're confusing liberals with Republicans. You assume that because Republicans will accept anything, (Trump, child molesters, fraudsters, lies, lies and more lies) in support of the party and ideology, that the same applies to everyone else.

It doesn't. The rest of us are capable of thinking for ourselves on a case by case basis

Open letter to Roy Moore -

Mr. Moore,

When the Washington Post approached me about what you did to me as a child, I told them what happened, just as I had told family and friends years before. I stand by every word.

You responded by denying the truth. You told the world that you didn't even know me. Others in recent days have had the decency to acknowledge their hurtful actions and apologize for similar behavior, but not you.

So I gave an interview on television so that people could judge for themselves whether I was telling the truth.

I explained my motivation on the Today show. I said that this is not political for me, this is personal. As a 14-year old, I did not deserve to have you, a 32-year old, prey on me. I sat quietly for too long, out of concern for my family. No more.

I am not getting paid for speaking up. I am not getting rewarded from your political opponents. What I am getting is stronger by refusing to blame myself and speaking the truth out loud.

The initial barrage of attacks against me voiced by your campaign spokespersons and others seemed petty so I did not respond.

But when you personally denounced me last night and called me slanderous names, I decided that I am done being silent. What you did to me when I was 14-years old should be revolting to every person of good morals. But now you are attacking my honesty and integrity. Where does your immorality end?

I demand that you stop calling me a liar and attacking my character. Your smears and false denials, and those of others who repeat and embellish them, are defamatory and damaging to me and my family.

I am telling the truth, and you should have the decency to admit it and apologize.

Leigh Corfman

Ever try suing a judge? They tend to stick together, and defend their own, even if it's not right....... Unless the guy's a pariah, in which case they'll throw him to the wolves..... But I don't see that happening unless the case is heard in California, or Massachusetts.

He's not a judge.  He's a piece of shit who has no respect for the law, and has demonstrated time and time again that he will not follow it.  She should sue him.

It's comforting to see the prosecutor was smart enough to try to conceal the source of that tape from the court, but most unfortunate that cat got out of the bag after it was shown to the jury but before the verdict. Possible mistrial and new round of plea bargain negotiations.

Right. Because it is not relevant to the conversation. It's like sitting at a dinner table, listening to people discuss their favorite movies, and suddenly interjecting a comment like "My cat's breath smells like cat food". Sure to kill the conversation.

There was no false equivalence. Moore and Kennedy have in common that they are both assholes and I simply demonstrated that both parties will support their assholes.

Talk about a Doggy-dog world.

Pedophile = drunk driver

In my world, child molesters are further down the asshole line than drunk drivers.  Good to know your view is that R child molesters = D drunk drivers.

You ever drive when you shouldn't?

I won't even ask the other part of that question.

I never left a young woman to drown in a car and tried to cover it up. In my world that's right up there with pedophile but I suspect Mary Jo Kopechne would take exception to that, but then she can't, can she.

You are trying to minimize and deflect from Moore's pedophilia.   That's some shameful shit.

In anybody's book-- except yours--- being a pedophilia is a bit beyond being an asshole.  The lazy smart ass at work is an asshole.   You, by the way, are an asshole, too.  Would you put yourself on the same level as Kennedy and Moore?

Have you found anybody on this forum that has defended Kennedy's drunken manslaughter?  Why do you even keep bringing it up?

I've found people here who dismissed letting a young woman drown and trying to cover it up as a case of drunken driving.  How's that?

Did you wake up one day and say to yourself, "I think I'll go defend a pedophile,"  or did it just sort of happen?

I'll be the first to admit that I think that Drunk Driving is less of an offense than child molesting.

Kinda proud of it actually.

I'm not a democrat.  You are defending a pedophile.  Give yourself a time out.  Shameful.

In Dog's world, Child Molesting is the same as drunk driving. Right in front of your nose.

I'll second the opinion that pedophilia is a lot worse than DUI manslaughter. The US legal system agrees with me (which is no great recommendation, really, but it is official).

How do you feel about causing a young woman's death then attempting to cover it up?

I feel that you would be wise to stop acting like a childish jerk whining "Mommeeeeeeeeeee! Billy did it fir-ir-irst!!!"

Not everybody you disagree with is a Democrat, or a libby-rull, or a Kennedy supporter, or whatever the fuck else your FOX-fed troglodytic rage is focused on at the moment. I'm sure it's comfy and cozy to be part of a tribe but you should have taken a closer look at them before you joined.

They think it's OK for a Kennedy, after all, he was a democrat.  Between their money and dick sucking they were able to get away with murder.
