Texas High Performance Singlehanders Multiplying

Recommended Posts

It appears that a new trend is happening at Rush Creek Yacht Club in Heath Texas. Although the powers to be have rejected and banished the most radical of sailing craft, "18 Footer" to the boneyard there are now some exciting new boats at the club. The count now includes,  2 Musto Skiffs, a Swift Solo, a UFO, an EVO, an IC, an AC, an Aero, and a 49r. I'm calling for a Texas Singlehanded Championship this spring. Anyone else like to join.  I know, getting them to sail their boats will be next to impossible but one can hope. YeeHaw.

You know I'm all in! So that makes two AC! You keep the wind below 15 and I'll fly my 23sq mtr Welsh flag every time. We can have the Texas HPDR!

Am gunna sail my FD in TCC so keep me informed.

And make them sail the boats, not just rot in yard, sad to see a musto cf mast flaking away.

I'm not sure the 9 foot UFO would take the abuse of 300lbs but that's what insurance is for, right? Other than that I know I could sail everything out there so far. Can you say the same?

TN,

It turns out the 49r and Swift solo are here because the owner in MN is having his hips replaced. The IC and AC are mine, the Aero and EVO are Rods so that leaves 4 not counting the Mustos but I've yet to see them sail. For a moment I thought things were a changing. Oh well, carry on.

Our Evo's will hit Texas in Late January.   You want to plan a throw-down at Rush Creek?  Something formally informal, sponsored by Vela Sailing of course?
